„Nachdem ich zwei Alben veröffentlicht hatte“, sagt @kalipo-1, „wollte ich zur Abwechslung mal an einer EP arbeiten, die mehr auf die Clubs zielt.“ Das tat Jakob Häglsperger, so sein bürgerlicher Name, auch – und zwar mit der „Charlie“ EP, die Mitte November 2016 erscheinen soll. „Somit war das Format klar und die Titelanzahl begrenzt, was die Trackauswahl aber nicht vereinfachte.“ Der gebürtige Bayer saß vor fast 40 mehr oder weniger fertigen Tracks und war erstmal damit überfordert, welche Werke überhaupt relevant dafür sind. Charlie is an effect of Kalipos own music journey. The whole EP can be interpreted as a story of a history written on the way. The music reflects various emotions attached to different parts of the specific journey of the author as in the same time he struggles to get into the listeners mind and trying to foretell their emotions. 

The release tells about the journey and emotional adventures on the way of flying octopus Charlie. There is a composition of feelings and odd things happening with him. The dreamy opener And the Stone of Heart sets the adventure mode from the very beginning, inviting the listeners to follow the octopus and experience different narcotic feelings inspired by music such as Watching Elephants on Bikes and Riding the White Camel.

Arabesque came out exactly 10 years ago. 

When released in 2007 the EP went for the most part unnoticed - a lesson learned to always choose your labels wisely. However eventually Arabesque found its way into Luciano's crate and it became an end of night anthem for him. He would include it on his Fabric mix. 

This EP has been unavailable for a few years. For the 10th anniversary I've given the two original tracks from the EP a fresh mixdown. In arrangement and feel they are virtually unchanged.

12 months after the debut album of Piotr Bejnar was released, we achieved gathering 4 remixes from this album. Piotr turned to the artists he most admired and who stated for him as great authorities. The record starts with a beautiful remix of the song "Bagieta" made by Ada from Pampa records. Second track is a dance version of the "Jellyfish" made by Piotr Bejnar himself. The third artist on the record is Piotr's idol from many years - Frivolous. To this one Piotr stood up to since childhood as a long- term fan of Frivolous, buying his albums and tracking his path. And now as for the crowning of the record - stands an artist closely related to Otake records – Kalipo with a total dance floor banger remix of “Jellyfish”

From tomorrow you will find records in most Polish vinyl stores. From next week we launch foreign distribution. Vinyls will be available on decks, juno, etc.

For some time now the Bar25 label has wanted to put out a release with all of our Swiss musician friends - the many folks who came to the Swiss Weekends at the Bar and generally made a habit of visiting us in Berlin. The Bar always had a deep Swiss connection, manifested not least in the legendary Swiss Cabin, home away from home to larger groups of visiting friends and Monday evening after-hour hotspot. "Alpenglühen - Feines aus der Schweiz" (Alp Glow - Swiss Bliss) is a swanky double vinyl of high-quality production art made in Switzerland. On vinyl 1, Animal Trainer from Hive Audio share a side with Andri, the Zurich native who is famous for his energetic live set's. Techno gladiator Wandler and live artist Canson play the other side, while vinyl 2 lets two matadors from the new Zurich club Frieda's Büxe - Don Ramon and San Marco - steer for a while. And the two music geniuses from Galoppierende Zuversicht are also here, fittingly, using sounds recorded live at Frieda's Büxe for their track. The sampler concludes with the exceptionally talented Mastra, who contributed a special song to this Swiss musical collage. The digital release also comes with a bonus live track by sublime stage band Rizzoknor. Even the cover was designed in Switzerland, during a Bar25 night at the legendary Cabaret in Zurich. We're all excited about this release since it's a special one for the 25 label. Marked both by good old times and new horizons, this record is a musical compilation representing the very special kind of artist that will always be welcome in wild Berlin!
