Hannah Laing returns to Patrick Topping’s Trick with the ravey ‘Get Busy’.

Previously appearing on Trick’s ‘Tasty Techno’ compilation as well as on Sola, SOLOTOKO, and Spinnin’ Deep, Hannah Laing returns to Patrick Topping’s label with a two-track EP of high-energy pumpers. A masterclass in hands-in-the-air floor-fillers, both tracks see Hannah Laing reach for hooky vocal samples, heavy-hitting drums, and addictive synth lines, delivering some of her most accomplished work to date.

 “I like to think of my sets as fun, bouncy Techno and ‘Get Busy’ embodies this, a classic feel-good dance vocal with peak time energy. I actually bought the original Big Bass vs Michelle Narine version from my local record shop, Groucho’s in Dundee, when I was 15! ‘Mind Controller’ has been a mainstay in my sets recently, sampling one of my favourite hardstyle vocals, it shows the darker side of what I play. Returning on Trick for his second solo outing following his 2022 ‘One & Only’ EP, Ōsé brings his darker-leaning take house & techno to a new high-octane three-track EP. Born and bred in Chicago, the up-and-comer has dropped a string of releases on quality labels such as Arcane, Relief and his own 5150.

“Heavy Metal isn’t just a genre of music; it’s an attitude and how you carry yourself. It’s being authentically yourself, whether you’re a rocker, raver or somewhere in between. For my latest release, ‘Heavy Metal’, I wanted to showcase a wide range of sounds, genres, and feelings that represent me” - Ōsé

Title track, ‘Heavy Metal’ wastes no time in bringing rave-ready energy with its deadly acid-licked bassline and distorted monotone notes before ‘Lend An Ear’ cranks things up a notch, combining driving kicks and bass with claustrophobic synth work. Closing out the EP is the aptly named ‘7 Minutes In Heaven’, a seven-minute techno workout utilising swinging percussion and ominous vocals.

Release Info: 
Kaufmann brings her trademark fusion of dark minimal and bouncy techno to Senso Sounds once again with the Ibu 3000 EP. The track is a full throttle techno monster with hard-as-nails drums and equally matched bassline, synth stabs and effects. The track is also presented here via an additional remix by label mate Metodi Hristov which adds another level of tension to the original, bringing out some of the more progressive elements of the track. Kaufmann also shares another original cut, Snorkel Combat, which is a tightly wound bomb that slowly builds the tension across its 7 minutes for maximum dancefloor effect
