“This month I decided to share a very special set that I recorded myself in the middle of an ancient castle on Clare Island, off the remote west coast of Ireland! The castle was originally built by and was the main residence of the famous Irish pirate Queen Grainne Uaile. She would have been mad for the techno I'd say! For a long time now we have been admirers of Orion's music, which is why we are excited to say that they have composed something for Far Blue. This carefully crafted liveset featuring new materials is a melancholich piece which really captures the Far Blue feeling.

The set was recorded during a storm that hit Milan, and soundtracks the various moods of such a day. Listen carefully, and you hear the wind and rain hitting the windows.

TOSKA is the DJ pseudonym for Ting-Wei Hsu. The name is borrowed from Russian, and roughly translates to “a vague restlessness, mental throes, yearning”…

Twelve years ago, TOSKA began his relationship with underground electronic music. At that time, he embraced a wide variety of genres, including tech house, drum & bass, tribal, breakbeat and other forms of experimental music such as, ambient, dark techno, dub techno, industrial, and minimal. 

Since 2014, TOSKA has been regularly performing at Taipei’s KORNER. In 2015, he was appointed as one of KORNER’s resident DJs, where he can be heard spinning at his bi-monthly ALL NIGHT events. He has since made rounds to guest DJ in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Seoul.

TOSKA 는 Ting-Wei Hsu 의 DJ 명이다. 러시아어인 이 이름은 "막연한 불안, 정신적인 욕구, 갈망" 으로 해석된다.

그는 12년전에 언더그라운드 일렉트로닉 음악을 시작했고, 테크하우스, 드럼앤베이스, 트라이벌, 브레이크비트등을 플레이했으며, 다양한 실험적인 장르인 앰비언트, 다크테크노, 덥테크노, 인더스트리얼, 미니멀등을 받아들였다.

2014년 부터 타이페이의 KORNER 에서 정기적으로 공연을 했으며, 2015년에 레지던트 DJ 중 한명으로 임명되어 격월로 플레이 하고 있다. 이후 그는 Shanghai, Hangzhou, Seoul 에서 게스트 DJ 로 공연했다.

We asked close friends and long time idols to play their part to the full to complete the third edition of the label’s Family Horror compilation series. The outcome is a clear snapshot of the musical inclinations of the three label founders, Sevensol & Map.ache (aka Manamana) and Bender, encapsulating an idiosyncratic, modern house sound that demands an emotional response. 
The compilation comes rounded off by a booklet of photographs from Ria aka Lux which just like the music captures some of the beautiful ‘Good Times’ from this very special period, this time on paper.

Today, let's welcome Void for an hour of lush deep techno music. Void is, with his partner in crime Materia, the founder of Alexandar, a rising label based in Skopje, Macedonia. Defined as "a garden of sound in a universe of uncharted possibilities", Alexandar has already released one EP (from Void & Materia) and three LP's from italian newcomer Aquiver and Void himself. A new one by french Martin Goodwin & Infinity has recently been announced, and looks as promising as the actual label's catalogue. Definitely worth to follow !
