This is a thoughtful, sweet song about the effects on the road for a touring musician and inspired by Sturgill Simpson and the birth of his new baby just at the time when his career exploded. I imagine his wife sitting at home waiting for that call that he's headed home, for however long.

I heard a tone in the shower, I then heard this and got it down. It's not finished but I wanted to share. 

March On Me (Mix 1)

I wrote this after reading several posts by women who had survived domestic abuse and moved on to be strong, expressive, creative and loving people and mothers. This song is fiction but their stories made me think - and I was excited to come up with the double meaning. I do not support guns or violence, just to be clear. The woman in this song becomes desperate and chooses a path for the sake of her children. Not finished, but I wanted to share.
