Ahead of his debut Subculture appearance this Saturday, @veitch-dj has stepped up to deliver the inaugural edition of our new Subculture Spotlight Mix series. The series will be motivated by providing an advance insight into the musical character & energy of forthcoming Subculture guests, alongside shining a light upon the wide array of rising local talent Glasgow has to offer and to introduce the sounds of artists that we are excited about from further afield.

We genuinely could not think of anybody better to kick this series off than @veitch-dj. Sean is a true student of the Subculture sound and as a long term Subbie family & staff member he has developed a depth of insight & understanding forged over many years both behind the bar & on the dance floor. This paired with his experience as a resident/chief-organiser of Pala Glasgow in recent years alongside his new @fenixglasgow residency has shaped an incredibly considered & talented DJ. This one has been a long time coming and we are very much looking forward to hearing what magic Sean will conjure down in our subterranean Jamaica Street haven. 

As always Sean will be joining the OG's Harri & Domenic on Saturday with Valencia born/Glasgow Based selector & wax lover Iris Pertegaz kicking things off on the night.

Subculture Spotlight Mix 001 ~ Veitch

Luke Vibert (@luke-vibert) is a British electronic musician and producer, also known for his work under several aliases such as Plug and Wagon Christ. Raised in Cornwall, Vibert began releasing projects in the 1990s across varied genres, including techno, drum and bass, and trip-hop. He is a true veteran of his craft, showing us what mixing records is all about. Check out this masterclass when he played our Gain by Gorillas stage during DGTL Amsterdam 2022.

a professional party animal sense 1989 started out in bagleys spectrum cross the rocket suncity adrenalin village club space how many clubs do mansion over the decades and decades of music and era and style of music changing so fast are rapidly but still kept are going and still rocking on like there's no tomorrow will live the dream it's called follow your destiny or your heart of loving all kinds of music and exploring all different parts of the globe your finds different parties can be a different move different atmosphere but people are all lovely in all shapes and sizes even children party is well and it's not for just beginners you have to have a passion that is music we love it we can't get enough of it we Are who we Are and this is acid house is one of my favourite heroes on music I have read so many friends who is one level of music what age is me to solve any more friends and still I am meeting so many more to come in my life and my journey thank you for reading and who knows we will wax see each other in a club or in space 🚀🚀🚀🚀😱🤔🤗😇🤠🤑🥳🤢🥰🥶👽🖤🛸✈️🌍🪐😷
