Make It Better

Scores for imaginary movies. Reconstituted funk riffs. Emo and stoic rock. Blues in nooks and crannies. Occasional house mix. Smoky blends with notes of heath and bamboo. Hope you enjoy the music.

Gargyzaa is a one-man band located in Espoo, Finland.
 I play all the instruments manually (guitars, keyboards, bass, plastic  didgeridoo, Korg monotron duo, fipple flute etc.) and sing all the vocals. Plus I have written these lyrics and peculiar poetry/ bizarre dialogues you hear (in Finnish&English).
Some people have asked me who plays the instruments and I have answered them several times that it´s me who is responsible for all this trippy noise and musical weirdness.
It has been quite tedious and more or less irritating to explain this relatively often, hahaha.
I´m a also a self taught "musician" and "vocalist". I play by ear.
The drum parts are made from short loops with Audacity and then the so called rhythm track is upoaded to my Zoom R-24. After that I will start recording the instruments/vocals on top.
I don´t have or play drums. Well, maybe one day.
So basically I use Zoom R-24 to record and even master these tracks. I bring the finished "product" to SoundCloud through Audacity.
My equipment is very amateurish, cheap and in some cases semi-broken. 
I use those infamous progressive rock structures, but deliver them with a punk rock attitude/gear, hehehe.
The cover art/design is just basically a few collages/paste-ups, psychedelically distorted&enhanced pics and a couple of random photos I took. Nothing special.

With its members originating from The Netherlands, Spain and the UK, the indie-rock three piece CIEL ultimately met on the South Coast of England where they distilled their differing backgrounds and influences into grunge-pop finery. Straddling the creative baggage of three countries' scenes, whilst not really feeling like they belong to any of them, CIEL’s music has a nagging yet fresh, dark and sometimes quietly glorious quality to it. Drawing influences from garage rock, goth and shoegaze, the band’s upcoming work (produced by Blood Red Shoes' Steven Ansell) sees them reflect a moodier and grittier direction, yet still maintaining their established melodic pop essence. 

CIEL’s DIY work ethic shines through in every part of their work. Early on the band caught the eye of BBC 6’s Steve Lamacq who included them as a spotlight artist on his show. They gained further radio plays across the UK and US (BBC 6 Music, KEXP, WFUV, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio) as well as loyal support from online publications including CLASH Magazine, Under The Radar and Earmilk. The trio soon flourished in the south of the UK, supporting the likes of Penelope Isles, Sasami and She Drew The Gun as well as selling out headline shows in London and Brighton.

If my music can make smile or cry, happy or sad, then I take it as an honor. If it can make you dance, all naked or not, just shake your head, give you confidence… well... that's even better !
If I sound too rough, too minimal, too strange or too punk, well... that's a big compliment for me. 
I know these songs are not perfect and need some more work... but it all started as a joke. And I can't believe so many people are following me today ! Everything goes so fast on the Internet. Your criticisms really make me happy and give me energy.
