When our man Djuma Soundsystem goes into the kitchen, he's a messy chef! He use too many spices and ingrediencies, but the final meal usually tastes quite good, and has some sweet exotic flavors. It's not at all nutritious ....but definitely delicious!

Bio

Jaz Costa, a lifelong companion of music, has gained recognition among friends for her talent in searching, selecting, and sharing eclectic sounds that touch the soul. DJing became her creative outlet, curating emotive musical journeys that encompass the spectrum of love. Within her sets, there is a special place reserved for music that reflects her roots as a Mexican woman, paying homage to her cultural heritage. Jaz Costa views music as a source of healing and considers herself a conduit, channeling its transformative power. 


My inspiration for the GDW V set "In Our Power" was the personal and artistic growth I experienced within the Cielos community (https://www.cielos.co/) and how it has impacted my life in many ways. It celebrates the feminine spirit and the power of our co-creation as Gold Dust Womxn. Each song was chosen to honor courage, grace, sexiness, playfulness, and love. The special track "Illumine" by Soul Button (Rolo Bootleg Edit) conveyed Marlena's (Founder of GDW) message of togetherness and the opportunity to create magic.
