His roots are founded in the 140 realms but today have expanded into the halftime, footwork-jungle sound, and has received support from label’s locally and abroad such as Aufect, Modern Ruin, Really Good Recordings, and more. Regularly performing at festivals like Bass Coast, Shambhala, Astral Harvest and more. Wherever you may find Metafloor you can expect exactly that, the new, the “meta”.

Hailing from the deep woods of the northern Sunshine Coast, Slater has been creating as well as performing music for the better part of the last two decades.
Over the years Slater has shared the stage with artists such as Subtle Mind, Daega Sound, Abstrakt Sonance, Westerley as well as many other heavy hitters in the scene, played countless gatherings around the BC coast including the legendary Diversity and Carrington Bay parties, curated bass music shows in his hometown of Powell River and released music on the up and coming Cimmerian Records label. Known for memorable late night sets and his taste for the underground, you can expect to hear leftfield sound system inspired techno, garage, dub, jungle and everything in between.
