Oxymoronic Contemplations for Oboe, Saxophone, Accordion and Violin

from the programme notes: 

"Oxymoronic Contemplations was written in October 2012, as a request from Glyptos Ensemble for the ensemble's anniversary concert. Rather than a musical idea as a starting point for the piece, as in some other pieces of mine, I used a psychological process as a situation and used it in a stretched expressive way, thus it could be musically stated. Therefore, in this piece, the psychological state/process I used, is a situation where a deep thinking is interrupted and later dominated by the opposite idea of it. Within the harmony and the flowing texture of the piece, this procedure and musical development are quite transparent."

This particular recording is from the concert occurred in the contemporary music festival "aXes New Music Triduum".
