ok so basically this is a complete flip of the first idea i've ever had for a song, and i think it's way better than what it could've been

originally, the song i flipped had a drop that was completely carried by a reversed sample, so i wanted to throw that sample out of the window completely, but keep some of the main ideas, like the reversed samples and generally the way it flows

i experimented a lot with this song for my standards, i did something different than my usual style (btw let me know if you like it), i used some weird ass hihat patterns, i used more elements in the song, changed the key and i actually tried mixing

also, on the mixing note, this song sounds fine on my pc's headphones, but on my phone's (which have better quality) it kinda sucks, it feels too wide but also too mono at the same time and i don't know why, something about it just pisses me off, also it might be a bit louder than all of my other stuff

i still think that mixing/mastering aside this song is pretty good and i like it

i've been wanting to make some square4 stuff for a while now but i didn't want to just do the og riddim formula and make a boring ass track, i wanted to make something more unique with a little touch of melodic too, i still think it's my least unique/interesting idea but i really like it and i'm proud of it

recently i've been listening to a lot of liquid riddim, which inspired me to make this track (my main inspiration was https://soundcloud.com/tsuntallerthanyou/tsun-x-ysmir-wulfharth-chim-1 it's an amazing song), that's why instead of being in 140ish bpm it's in 120

btw this is my first time trying to mix/master riddim so feedback is appreciated
