Prologue: I was sitting on a bleached out log by the beach doing some free writing.  As the sun rose overhead I took another look at a huge tree stump, logs, and branches washed up on the shore.  I recalled a moment I looked at all the felled trees while driving up MT Rainier.  After my recent losses and recalling my shock at seeing what looked like a slaughter of trees on the hillside of a foothill, the song,"Remnants" wrote itself.

We have an orchard beehive next to our porch in the backyard.  It’s  partially covered by our Rosa ‘WEK caloric’ (George Burns Rose).
This bush is the first to bloom every spring beginning in the first days of May. My Tea Rose, and other variety of roses follow lat May and early June. They are all so lovely to see with fragrance to enjoy!

Prologue:
Every time I see a rainbow I feel a surge of positive energy and wonder at the beauty of this creation.  Yes, I also appreciate the science behind it too. But if you have ever dreamt of a rainbow, especially arched over a field of green after thunder and lightning had passed through, the feeling never really leaves you. Indeed, the rainbow represents joy and happiness. It also means something more.
