The Batman I feel is a lot like BR 2049 in that its a detective film set in a very specific environment with some of the best filmmaking/technicals we’ve ever seen, but it won’t get widespread traction because its almost 3hrs and “slow”. 

The hard-mounted shots and the sound design. It made the entire chase so visceral and highlighted specific perils like proximity to other traffic. And the sound design just rattled you to the core, especially at the start of the chase.

If you remember the package he sent to Wayne Tower, the note to Batman was in a fireproof envelope. Probably wouldn't have done that if he knew Bruce was Batman.
