Clive From Accounts has had an interesting few years.  His vinyl debut on Fouks’ Outplay Records landed on the shelfs about the same time as the largest record shop and club closure in living history but Clive pressed on. Releases have dropped on Dirt Crew Recordings, On The Corner Records, with his most recent ‘Strictly Business EP’ on Brooklyn disco juggernaut Razor-N-Tape Reserve, laying down the law about what this pleasingly off center, maverick producer can do. New label Income Trax, is Clive from Accounts own filing cabinet of curiosities. As a home for his eccentric and exotic ideas, the debut release comes courtesy of the main office man himself.
Lockdown took its toll on Clive. Not the isolation or sense of impending doom - that was normal - but specifically the worldwide marmite shortage in April. On the verge of a Driving to Dundee barefoot style meltdown, Clive found solace in his 20 year obsession with Alan ‘foot on a spike’ Partridge.  Taking Musique Concrete to its textbook conclusion, Clive has made music ONLY using sounds from TV series I’m Alan Partridge. Over 100, mainly foley samples were repurposed into the two title tracks of the ‘Alan EP’.
‘Alan A’ is a raw yet melodic, big plate of house. Containing everything from drawer slams to air bass, cereal destruction to Black Beauty, this orchestra of found sound makes for some unique and exciting rhythmic textures. Things take a dubby turn on ‘Alan B’, where late night broken beats and sultry bass worthy of Alan’s Deep Bath, featuring Lynn on jungle time-stretched vocals. The EP is bought to a close by off-kilter acid-tinged synthwave nugget in the shape of ‘Linton TT.  It doesn’t follow the Partridge sampling rules but needless to say has the last laugh.  Bonus for the vinyl heads is a ‘Dan!’ locked groove at the end of side A. Cook a cat!

This is the 77th release on Ireland's Elevation and features a classic disco tinged vocal courtesy of Disc Eyes and catchy hooks and grooves by the label boss and is sure to be a future Elevation classic.

Remixes come in two very, groovy and different flavours.
First up is Berlin's Max Telaer (Hustler Trax, House Cookin Records) who delivers a driving, club orientated version full of raw, pulsating energy to shake the bones and get you grooving.
Fellow Irishman Jisco Dazz Drops a deep, jazzy, acid tinged, old school belter that brings a big smile to your face while you can't help shaking your hips along to it.

Cinthie’s Collective Cuts sub-label of her 803 Crystal Grooves imprint returns in February with a fresh four- tracker from Belgium’s UC Beatz.

Hailing from Brussels, Belgium, UC Beatz has been steadily making his mark on the contemporary house scene via releases on the likes of Razor N Tape, Roundabout Sounds, his own Entrepôt Records and Cinthie’s Collective Cuts where he returns here for a full length EP, following his contribution to the various artist package which preceded this one.

‘Bongos, Rhodes & Candles’ leads the EP, the title perfectly setting the tone as organic drums, hazy chords and a jazz leaning house aesthetic propels you into UC Beatz world. ‘Wild Horse’ follows next, stripping things back to shuffled drums, sharp stab sequences, choppy vocals and a gritty bass line.
Opening the flip is ‘Sunshine On My Mind’, shifting focus to deeper sounds with fluttering pads, bright resonant synth licks and bubbling arpeggios while a dynamic drum workout keeps things moving. ‘Vertigo’ then rounds things out with crunchy percussion, jazzy piano lines and squelchy acid licks.

Berlin's Cinthie has grown to become one of the most revered and respected figures in contemporary electronic music in recent years both in her hometown and across the globe. Her touring schedule regularly sees her playing her inimitable DJ style in hotspot cities like Paris, London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Stockholm, Seoul, Osaka, and of course her beloved hometown Berlin .

Djing in said city since the early nineties as a teenager Cinthie's depth of knowledge radiantly shines through in her sets and her productions, which traverse through a broad range of classic and contemporary House and Techno sounds. Recent times have seen Cinthie look inwards towards her aspirations for the future, and as a result, dedicated a huge portion of her time to building her own studio, featuring a wide spectrum of some of the most noteworthy vintage drum machines and synthesizers in existence.

Initially Cinthie made her mark with Diego Krause, Ed Herbst and stevn.aint.leavn as the Beste Modus / Beste Freunde collective, amongst running Unison Wax and We_R House on top of the main labels. Most recently she launched her 803 Crystalgrooves imprint to critical acclaim, a platform which has become a huge focus for her own productions for the foreseeable future as well as the imprint's sub-label Collective Cuts, which as the name suggests, welcomes music from affiliates and friends of the artist. On top of this there’s a burgeoning relationship with Will Saul's Aus imprint where her debut album comes in 2020. Cinthie’s unfaltering drive and dedication to all things House continues into another decade...
