Cipher is a foster kid turned independent hip-hop and R&B artist born in Monterey, CA, raised outside of Dallas, TX, and currently resides in Denver, CO. Cipher has served in the Navy, traveled the world, started several businesses, and is passionate about music. 

Cipher began his music journey by learning how to play drums at 14. Thanks Mom! Then he learned guitar, and finally started recording vocals. He recorded his first song in 2006 on XBox headphones. Cipher writes his songs, records his music, and scripts his videos.

Produced by quadruple platinum producer Danny E.B., 'Make You Mine' is a relatable song about two people in a relationship who are not on the same page. One thinks they are just friends while the other thinks they are more than that. The song provides insight into one of my relationships and how it progressed over time. 

After a couple live performances, the line 'We wasn't just friends last night' has been chanted by hundreds of people who identify. The announcement comes just over a month since my last single, 'Without Me'.

The vocals were recorded and engineered by me (Cipher). The final mix and mastered version was done in collaboration with Colorado-based Switchboard Studios.
