The media is widely reporting a serious vulnerability that was discovered earlier this week in OpenSSL, a popular software to encrypt Internet traffic. Many businesses, organizations and governments use OpenSSL to secure their systems.  

To get a better understanding of what the Heartbleed vulnerability is and how it affects Canadians, we spoke with Scott McMullen, CIRA's ICT Security Analyst.
