Benjamin Joseph arrives at the Circa Groove imprint ready to unleash his highly anticipated 'Evolution of Sound' EP that further establishes his position as a rising star. The 6 track groove-laden EP is expansive and perfectly primed for the dance floor - it hosts 4 tracks from Benjamin himself alongside 2 remixes Red Meat Therapy as well as the esteemed and elusive Vlad Arapasu.

The EP kicks off with Evolution of Time on A1. Boasting Benjamin's signature grooves, the track is infectious and laced with wayward synth lines as well as a monstrous rolling bassline. The filtered speech samples in this track create a psychotropic build-up as the track rises and falls, an intricate balance between killer percussion and spaced-out moments.

This is followed up by 3 refined minimal hits; Bundle, Sneaky, and Roll On. 'Bundle' comes complete with bubbling off-center grooves that are impossible not to move to. It plays on those more mellow moments, with deep and nostalgic synth sounds flexing a hefty sonic range. 'Sneaky' and 'Roll On' provide a more pensive and hypnotic vibe to the EP, teamed with chunky shuffling grooves.

A touch of class from Red Meat Therapy on the remix of 'Evolution of Time', the rework can only be described as a raw, mind-tripping groove. The final number on the EP is new material from the ineffable Vlad Arapasu with his remix of Roll On. In signature style, the track is flipped instantly into a recognisable shimmering rendition, a cocktail of minimalism and power that will lend itself to the peak-time or the after-hours.

Having notched up releases on the likes of Apollonia, One Records, Djebali, and his very own La Vie En Rose we welcome Terence :Terry to the Circa Groove family with his 'Just A Small Thing' EP. A slick, spacey vocal cut designed for the deepest part of the night. This hypnotic house bomb proves why Terence has become a household name in the underground club scene over the past two decades. His talents have seen him play in clubs from DC10 Ibiza to Panoramabar and Watergate Berlin all the way to Goa Madrid and Fabric London.

A1. Just A Small Thing is centered around a sharp, rhythmic bassline that roars under the dance floor whilst Terence manages to strike a fine balance between warm, fulsome tones and a sleek vocal line. The mesmerizing glitchy synths that run throughout manage to keep the sound tripped out and modern, whilst the traditional 909 drum groove brings a classical feel to the record.

B1. Is a very special collaborative remix between house heavyweights Djebali and Politics Of Dancing, artists with a huge output and contribution to the scene - when they clash it makes for a very potent production duo. The track carries hard-hitting and polished grooves, a killer contemporary house number.

B2. Cosenza has seen a rise within the scene through delivering heavy-duty house grooves, that become instant DJ essentials. His release 'Future Salad' on iO Mulen's prestigious Hoarder label is currently doing the rounds, showing his quality as a producer. His in-your-face slant of 'Just A Small Thing' flips the track with heavy-duty drum lines under a plucked jackin' style bassline, this rendition is as hard-hitting as you like.

We are delighted to welcome label-owner Rupert Ellis back to Circa Groove with his first solo EP 'Pilgrimage to Paradise'. CGR007 showcases Rupert's harder-hitting production techniques that become slightly more twisted as the EP progresses, whilst managing to maintain its high energy. The EP is a reminder of Rupert's diversity as an artist - it's reminiscent of 90s house vibes whilst, at the same time, oozing with high-energy drops accompanied by playful round basslines. Each track reaches dizzying heights taking the dance floor on a journey.

A1. Don't Stop!
Heading up the A1 with Don't Stop!, Rupert lays down his distinctive sound in this number with hard-hitting drum lines draped with ethereal leads, the melody is adorned with machinery-like textures which make for a high energy peak time slammer. It's no surprise that Rupert's productions have seen him sought after under labels such as Daydream France, Winder, and Blind Vision Records and this follows suit as another quality release.

A2. Gamespeak
Dark, pensive, and full of energy this track takes the listener through a heavy rhythmic workout, it carries wobbling groves and delicate synth lines that float around the slamming percussion. The track flirts with a heavy 90s house but remains as fresh sounding as ever.

B1. Trip 2 Fantasy
Tropical but not. This number shows the listener hints of lightness but continues to walk a tightrope between this and pure electric deepness. From peak time to after-hours this one is an absolute nailed-on crowd pleaser.

B2. Don't Stop! (Liquid Earth Remix)
Hailing from LA the already iconic Liquid Earth joins the Circa Groove release roster with a track that is an amalgamation of intricate sound design creating rolling and bubbling basslines and breaks as heavy as you'll find. This esteemed producer has racked up releases on some hugely renowned labels such as Butter Side Up and Kalahari Oyster Cult and now joins Circa Groove with one that is going to move dance-floors in a very serious way.

For the next edition of Circa Radio we've invited DJ and Producer Size 8 who is a musician of real repute. His Jazz influences (Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, Duke Ellington and Miles Davis) can be heard throughout this hour long mix of pure groove. 

The 60-minute journey can really show how this go to selector is the one to watch around the thriving East-London hub of electronic music.

The talented DJ/Producer with growing stature within the UK scene, Size 8 arrives with his first EP on Circa Groove. Size 8's tight productions are deep, slamming and delicate all at the same time. A familiar face in East London, regularly moving dancefloors in Hackney and beyond, who we are super excited to have on the label with his Computer Cadence EP.

The EP kicks off with 'Snake Hips', a super deep cut that has become an essential record in the Circa Groove arsenal. A tried and tested house gem that weaves magic on the dancefloor.

Followed on by 'Can I See You Again', this track will have you asking the DJ that same exact question. Playful and bubbling synth lines sat neatly on top of some robust drum lines, this is a seriously dreamy track.

The final originals from Size 8 are 'Wednesday in the Loft' and 'Into The Phase', follow suit with warm filtered chords which shift and move with melodic artistry. Two thick and spacey chunks of UK Tech House.

On remix duties is the one and only Jorge Savoretti, a producer with some of the most recognisable dancefloor heaters out there, and his remix of 'Wednesday in the Loft' is no exception. A heavy percussive workout with a groove that will have you wrapped around its finger from start to finish.

For this next edition of Circa Radio (#005) we are proud to present our good friend Nayve. The Nottingham based DJ/Producer first caught our attention back in 2020 with his 'Ratio' EP released on Manchester-based label, Animal Crossing. This was the first EP from Animal Crossing Records and Nayve couldn't have kickstarted the vinyl-only imprint in a better manner with his 4-track groove weapon ensemble.

Since then he has gone on to release on Daydream France as well as release on Animal Crossing's more recent digital label all whilst upholding a series of gigs around the UK.

Nayve's sound is deep, minimal, euphoric, and rolls with a stripped back tight groove - all which is presented in this mix.

After a brief respite in our release schedule, we are extremely thrilled to unveil CGR009, a new four-tracker EP featuring 3 twisted original club-based records from Enzo Leep and a playful rolling remix from Direkt. This release showcases the diversity of Circa Groove's catalog taking a glance into its deeper and darker side.

Heading up the top of the EP we have Tumbril, a trippy cut with a mesmerising lead synth line that plays throughout: a perfect blend of old-school sonorities fused with new school breakbeat-inspired drums.
Moving onto the A2 we are now deep into the night with some serious dance floor material. The Miracle is centered around a dance floor destroying bassline that glides along the low end with ease. Trippy vocal cuts are played throughout alongside the gentle synth lead which drives the track along.

Away Together is featured at the forefront of the B-side and this acid-infused weapon is a must have in any diggers collection. Tight snare grooves, wonky acid synths, and a brain-melting vocoder vocal line can be heard throughout. Perfect for the depths of the night.

Last but not least, we finish the EP off with a bouncing stripped-back remix of Tumbril from Direkt. Direkt's sound has caught been given approval from some of the biggest names in the scene over the last few years, from Villalobos to Raresh to Apollonia - this is an artist who pops up in some of the hottest record bags on the scene. His remix of Tumbril is a steady journey, combining subtle vocal cuts with a head-bobbing bassline - this is a remix that will get any dance floor grooving.
