The song calls out to those people who live their lives void of spiritual and conscious awareness, asking if their complacency is blissful. This song touches on behaviours such a gluttony and substance abuse in relative to things that make you feel “high” but truly bring you down and further away from awakening. It also mentions emotion and whether on not those emotions are felt and dealt with or ignored and pushed away. In general, “Ignorance is Bliss” calls for one to look inside themselves and question their behaviour and habits, and whether or not they inspire or restrict growth.
