Premiere: Hanah - Single Shot Error [Data Musicalism]

Mexico City don OMAAR (@djomvvr)is back on Super Kitchen (@sprktchn) with a brand new EP titled 'Quien Se Comio Mi Chocolate'.

You may remember the last time OMAAR linked with the Bristol/London label back in 2017. His track, 'Strong', was a standout among the multitude of bangers released as part of the label's 'Rhythm Foundation' compilation.

Now he's back and on his own, sort of, what with the likes of Lima, DJ Plead, Gregor and Lobby on board to tackle EP tracks with the same tenacity they were created with. Our pick of the bunch, however, despite the quality of the remixes, just had to be an OG cut. Titled 'Drumplate', it's a fierce drum workout and a half that's reminiscent of OMAAR's glorious 'Gabryelle' reboot. 

Super Kitchen will release 'Quien Se Comio Mi Chocolate' on February 28. Pre-order below.

With this new monthly series we reach out beyond our local scene and will showcase some of the most interesting artists from around the world. The focus will not be on one genre or one tempo but exactly the opposite - the blending of genres, the creation of new sounds or a different approach on mixing.

Our first guest mix comes from @kidcala from Madrid (Spain) and is a perfect example for this.

With his 2018 »Acid Dembow« EP he created a new sound by blending dembow and acid to a high-energetic mixture. Since then more sounds were added and you will hear elements of Techno, Jungle, Electro or Jersey Club in his productions.

After Releases on @caballito-netlabel (Grenada), @xxiiibeats (Portugal) and @oxyorange (Mannheim) his recent »Moonlight EP« released on @breaking-bass-records (Seville) and comes with remixes by @djomvvr and @drgabber.

Après un long break estival, Egregore revient avec le Various Artists ‘Club Drums vol.2’
Aux côtés de Kaval, curateur du projet, se trouvent 5 producteurs internationaux avides de percussions endiablées. 

Le duo danois Circuit 900 ouvre le bal avec un morceau deep aux accents dubtechno.
High Graid, qui oscille entre Londres et Copenhague enchaine avec ‘Vixen’ et ses percussions tonitruantes.
Notre Kaval propose quand à lui un morceau aux touches acoustiques, a grand renfort d’Agogos.
L’australien Lithe décline quand à lui un UK Funky aux résonnances très futuristes.
Viennent ensuite les arpèges de ‘Cultivation’, morceau d’Ovid, tout droit venu de Washington DC.
Et enfin Recluse, également australien, co-fondateur du label Rogue Cuts propose le track le plus expérimental de la release, intitulé ‘Cyber Valley’.

After a lengthy summer break, Egregore Collective is back into action, kicking things off with another Various Artists release, ‘Club Drums vol.2’.
Besides our very own Kaval, who curated the project, are 5 international producers well versed in powerful percussions, who are making their Egregore debut.

Danish duo Circuit 900 opens the EP with a deep tune, infused with dubtechno pads.
High Graid, who lives between London and Copenhagen then steps in with ‘Vixen’ and it’s thunderous percussions.
Our very own Kaval dishes out a more acoustic track, filled with Agogo samples.
Australian Lithe delivers his futuristic sounding brand of UK Funky.
Following up are the arpeggios and intense melodic progression of ‘Cultivation’ by Ovid, producer hailing straight from Washington D.C.
At last, Recluse, co-founder of label Rogue Cuts delivers this release’s most experimental track in the form of ‘Cyber Valley’.

Affiliated to Trax Couture and Sans Absence, @sylvere gives birth through his music to tunnels between new Francophone Afrobeat trends and UK funky. A La Créole resident, he is fond of drummy rhythms and synths, and has mastered the art of jersey club remixes.
