circuit|breaker showcases emerging and established local artists alongside international icons of the underground, channeling authentic soundscapes anchored in the dancefloor.

With foundations defined by artistic freedom and opportunity, the label represents a mutual appreciation for the digital and physical realms, with a debut VA presented on two slabs of glorious wax.

Our first VA installment opens with label co-founder ADMINISTRATOR’s erratic and brooding synth composition, ‘VER5e+01’. LSS kicks it up a gear with the soothing sensory zapper ‘Perch’. The B-side flips to Texas-based Decoder with the delirious hypnotic stomper, ‘Giggling’, followed by Lindsey Herbert’s dancefloor weapon straight out of L.A., ’Control’.

Co-founder Connor Wall opens the C-side with the rich and unrelenting grooves of ‘Setback’. Emerging Naarm sensation, Neo, pushes the pedal down with the face-melting ‘Suppressed Actions’. All followed by Lask’s no-nonsense, dimension transporting acidic roller ‘Deepbush’. Flip the record and flip out to Arthur Robert's thrilling 'Kepler 452b', closed out by Sweden-based Franz Jager’s lush techno heater ‘Kantine’, a superior rush of rhythm with flourishes of funk.

circuit|breaker acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which we live, play, create, and work. We pay our deepest respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to other First Nations people across so-called Australia. Sovereignty never ceded.

CBRK001 - VARIOUS ARTISTS (PREVIEWS)

For our second release, circuit|breaker quips back the stacked offering of CBRK001 with another dynamic double LP, exhibiting some of the best local and international talent that’s cropped up on our radar over recent years. 

The label is as driven as ever to build a bridge between our community and the wider electronic music domain, giving artists a platform to preach the sound that speaks to them, and this release is but another stepping stone towards greatness, for us and for them. 

CBRK002 opens up with a rolling, gritty number that could only be Fergus Sweetland, as metallic voices beckon forth on ‘Untitled (ARP 1.02)’. Hasvat Informant, whose thunderous reputation precedes him, then storms the barn with the explosive ‘Abispa Ephippium’. The B-side shifts gears to Goa’s Dotdat and his frantically groovy track ‘Holo’, followed by a gorgeous minimal number by Berlin-based Pino Peña – Mia’s Pocket; one that’s sure to get summer dancefloors pumping. 

The C-side of the record contains two heaving tracks, the C1 from the prominent force of Cloudy Ku with ‘A Room of One’s Own’, and the C2 from the dark visage that is disgrays with ‘Turmstraße’. The final side of the record has Amsterdam legend Juan Sanchez open the filter with a warm, jacking submission in ‘Indulge’, while the Berliner Marsch takes us home with a devious timbre that will have bodies glued to the floor on ‘Into You’.
