Khyra AKA kirakira is a rapper, singer and DJ from the south of the Netherlands. As her name (which means “sparkling” in japanese) suggests, she shines on the stage, dancing and smiling to her own collection of tracks with the goal in mind to bring back dancing in the club. She does this by combining different genres, such as garage, baile funk, bass and more with an underlying tone of Hip Hop, creating a sound to which standing still is impossible. Although she is often seen behind the decks, she is best at handling the mic, taking inspiration from her idol Skepta. Khyra is a multi-faceted artist and, as she claims, she is not (just) a DJ.

The third installment of our Songs From The Gutter series comes as a mini-EP featuring two tracks! It's a baffling 2-tracker, consisting of mangled synthlines and slammed breaks by Brussels' producer Tristan Bründler. These distorted sounds are conceived as environments where intensity reigns supreme.
By blending materials and references drawn from his memories, Tristan seeks to explore the genesis of the musical structures that surround him. Without a fixed plan, he establishes a dialogue between his ear and the sonic matter, intertwining contrasting concepts: gentleness and hostility, primitivity and preciousness, dance and mental trance.
