Originally from Madrid, Beatrice is a young Spanish artist who discovered her interest in electronic music very early on.

After some performances in various clubs in her home town such as the Ekho Techno Club, she decided to move to Berlin to further professionalise her musical goals.

Her style is characterized by minimalist sounds with old school inspirations and a touch of melodies, to make you move quickly until the early morning.

Pate Jaar joins for DifferentSound Podcast #103.

The guest in this episode is a Tbilisi based artist, DifferentSound Records Founder Pate Jaar. He is focused on the hypnotic, groovy, misty and intense side of techno. His main musical goal is to tell an engaging story in which the listener can completely immerse and get lost.

Pate’ sound is most inspired by the marathon sets from masters of the craft such as Rødhåd, Flits, Setaoc Mass, Mikrotakt, No.name and more, as well as the new breed of fast and groovy techno.

It's a blend of his favorite modern tracks, 90s cuts, some of his own own productions + unreleased tracks by artists he deeply respects. 🖤

I played this set for the first rave thrown by our collective, the Carousel Collective, which consists of a passionate group of people seeking to build and put forward a genuine, grass-roots electronic music scene in Toronto, Canada. We recognize the inherently political essence of community building and see this music as a means through which we may express ourselves freely and oppose the status quo of alienation, fragmentation, and extraction. This set is dedicated to all the special people that contributed in making this happen. Hope to see you (again) on the dancefloor next time!

@myra_dj, artist based in Amsterdam.

MYRA is a Dutch Techno DJ and producer with pure passion and an ever evolving taste for electronic music. Her signature is up-tempo groovy rhythms with hard hitting percussions, and hypnotic atmospheres with a trippy touch that dives deep. MYRA is a graduate [2022] of the Electronic Music Academy at the conservatory of Amsterdam where she honed her musical and creative capacities. At the conservatory she discovered her fascination for analogue gear, that she now use intensively as a producer. Her artistic journey is just starting to unfold, propelled by a mindset and drive to push boundaries, and aiming to become a live act in the near future.

Parisian – Benales has been honing his craft since the end of the 90s. As an avid record collector, vinyl only DJ and enthusiast of Techno and House – his DJ sets and tracks combine the raw, dark and deep elements of these musical forms with a firm nod in the direction of Detroit. His talent allows him to put himself in many clubs in Europe like Tresor, Rex Club, Le sucre, The Gate (Georgia) but also as a regular guest of Concrete when it’s not rare to find Benales surrounded by guest of solid reputation like DVS1, Zadig, Surgeon, Steve Bicknell, Dj Pete, James Ruskin. Fascinated by Techno and coldness of electronic music, he released some EP’s and remixes on Sino (Technasia Label), and notably “Elements part 1 & part 2” have marked his spot in the international scene. Over the years, he had several releases on outstanding labels like Suburban Avenue, Analog Solutions, Knotweed, Diffuse Reality, Key Vinyl, and many more to follow.
