The ever-prolific and established artist Alan Abrahams aka Portable makes a swift and very welcome return to Circus Company with the impressive lead single “Guiding Me”, giving us an early taste of his forthcoming album Augmented Dreams to be released in the fall.

Conceptually the direction of this new project refers to the use of technology to alter our dreams, inadvertently or not, as so much tech advancement becomes available and ingrained in our daily lives. The timely lead single here inspired by Abraham’s South African ancestors the Khoi San people and the guidance they provide, appropriately exuding both futurist formed sonics and dream-like tenderness in content, led by his dulcet-toned vocals and delivered with the super solid production we’ve come to expect. Wonderful multi-purpose electronic music which will find itself right at home on late-night discerning dance floors, or indeed guiding the listener through their respective travels, solo meditations or get-downs in headphones.

Along with the excellent “Guiding Me” original mix, we are graced with a masterful remix by Hamburg’s Lawrence of Smallville and Dial fame, who takes the track into an even more floor-focussed realm with his patented rolling sub-bass lines which will guarantee plenty of summertime sound system finessing, as well as the EP-exclusive B2 track “Vigor” in which Portable goes even deeper in tone with classic styled vocal cut-ups and repurposed shards of tasty sound design added to keep the dancers endlessly entranced when and wherever they may be.

Announcing Portable’s new album, out October 13th. Now that the smoke has settled after his My Sentient Shadow LP in 2022, the Paris based South African producer comes back in fine form with a new full-length LP, Augmented Dreams and drops a fresh first single tilted 'The Color of Static' (premiered here) which will be available on all platforms from tomorrow September 15th. Alan Abrahams let his instinctual side fly again with a surprising broken beat feels track. Portable once again moved our senses with his deep vibes and hypnotic grooves across seven slowly-building minutes.

@portable-aka-bodycode gears up to release his next LP 'Augmented Dreams' on @circuscompany, landing on October 13.

The second single from the record is a downtempo cut layering brooding vocals. "'The Pull of Time' is a reflection on the cyclic nature of time, be it politics, fashion or music," Portable muses.

For those in the know, The Mole is perhaps one of the most influential underground House music producers of all time. They don’t call him The Mole for nothing, he digs deep and encapsulates the true spirit of the genre and there’s few producers who’s catalogue has been as widely sought after and respected as his. Anyone who’s anyone who plays House music likely has more than a few of his records locked and loaded in the crates or on a stick.

For many years he has released music on the likes of Perlon, Ostgut Ton, Sound Of Vast, Kompakt, Internasjonal and more. More recently he has formed an affiliation and connection with Circus Company on which he has released both EP’s and albums.

Speaking of which he has a new record out, a deconstructed beat tape of sorts based upon influences from Hip Hop and cassettes alongside his deep rooted love of House music.

This mix follows soon after and to be honest, it’s one we’ve been excited about receiving for some time. The Mole is a bit of a legend round these parts.

Following up on the second 12“ of this LP is a man who needs no introduction: Carl Cox. And in true Coxy fashion he turns 'Riot' into just that: a big room, tension building monster!

Broken Engine' is the next track to get worked over and Wigbert delivers a stunning mix of shimmering tones and growling bass resulting in a lush venture through a cosmic backdrop of flickering stars in deep space.

Joseph Capriati ensues with his vision of 'Fugitives' and he brilliantly keeps the vibe of the original yet adds his trademark big room flair to take it to another level of driving euphoria.

Enlisting the talents of Alan Fitzpatrick to remix one of the slower listening tracks on the album turned out to be magic. With his signature percussion, Fitzpatrick takes the parts and creates a dive deep into sultry smooth waters of seduction.

The first of our last two remixes, which are digital exclusives, come from Paul Ritch and he delivers a grinding rendition of 'Riot', expertly crafted for the more euphoric peak time occasions.

Last and certainly not least is a man on the rise, Kevin Knapp with his twist on his own collaboration with Pan-Pot: 'Get In'. An expertly crafted tech house jam exploding with energy and attitude perfect for any moment, day or night, indoors or out.

The return of Michael Klein was imminent. Considering the magnitude of his last offering, the „Drawing EP“, it was only a matter of time before he returned with another stellar parcel of forward thinking dance floor bombshells. With his latest contribution ‚Metals EP’, Michael presents four stunning numbers displaying not only his trademark sound, but his evolution and range as a highly promising new artist.
The expedition kicks off with „Silver“ and with it a lush presentation of the perfect balance between thrust and elation. While a persistent rush of momentum keeps the pace, slow yet infectious rises and vast ethereal cries of spacious flickers set the stage for a cosmic ride reminiscent of indigenous settings with boundless, star lit skies.
Following suit on the A side sees Michael return to his approach heard on his last EP. Somewhere between the traditional fundamentals and the future stylings of the most distinguished techno lies „Opaque“. With incredible force and exuberance, Klein delivers off kilter grooves that create a contagious, sweat laden exhilaration, nothing short of pure warehouse bliss.
Kicking off the B side is „Outer Shell“ and it is by far the most emotional and cosmic of all the tunes. Opulent melodics construct beams of radiant light found only in the outer reaches of deep space as flashes of meteoric rises and low bursts of impetus propel the auditor into a never-ending journey into a place where time and space cease to exist.
Wrapping things up is a slow burner entitled „Dura 2 feat. aGhost“. A tune that can be played fast or at the slower original speed, it's a beautiful demonstration of resistance and inflection. As chants of a mysterious female fill the room, shimmers of lavish chimes circle slowly to secure an impassioned sentiment of sorrow, excitement and desire.
To compliment the beauty of 'Dura 2' we've enrolled the services of Roman Lindau to put his spin on the original. With just a few elements Lindau expertly creates a monster of a dance floor stormer. As the bassline continually grows and shrinks with a simple but highly effective four to the floor groove, the excitement swells as short stabs of vocals entice the crowd to peaking trepidation.

Continuing its conversation between the foggy environs of the Pacific Northwest and NYC’s thriving dance underground, "Blankstairs" label is thrilled to announce its newest release, Dream City’s "Forward", a collaboration between S. Deelay and C. Perez (head of PDX’s consistently innovative "Pastel Voids" imprint). The project marks an impressively focused exchange for the pair, mixing the deep atmospherics of Perez’s Metropol project with the raw eclecticism and crate-digging expertise of Deelay’s Insane Deelay handle.  Having first met several years prior in Portland, the pair has collaborated on and off for several years, including a 2014 release on Pastel Voids, a throbbing, smoke-stained cassette that charted fertile ground for future work.  Since then, the pair has followed their respective paths on opposite sides of the Atlantic in recent years, while maintaining a fertile dialogue between their evolving styles and musical vocabularies, one that sees a natural point of convergence on Forward. The record serves as an exercise between each artist’s honed approach to both DJ’ing and live production, twisting the grooves and functionality of classic jack tracks and bass tunes through a haze of processed electronics and swirling, multi-textured arrangements.  Lead cut, Down 2, for instance, spins fragments of classic Chicago acid through an abstracted cloud of synth swells and pulsing bass, while Hopeful Visions slows the pace down, allowing snippets of chopped vocal sampling and swirling pads to pair off against a thudding main figure.  These are workouts exploring both patience and density, drawing on the pair’s sense of development and progression to create engrossing, evolving final products that mark a fittingly deep expansion of the pair's ongoing collaboration, and each artist's solo work in turn. The record features four tracks from the project, alongside a properly misted out, deconstructed re-work of Hopeful Visions by "Max McFerren", and an added, digital-only bonus featuring Perez’s Metropol take on Down 2.
