PURPLE FLOYD are a High-Vibrational DJ duo from Cape Town, South Africa, comprised of two talented brothers who share a passion for music and a unique sound and style that blends indie dance, electronica, and nu-disco. The brothers have been making waves in the music scene, with their innovative sound and dynamic performances.

Growing up in Cape Town the brothers were surrounded by a rich and diverse musical culture as well as being experienced burners. With a finger to the pulse of the underground scene and a dedication to their craft they began experimenting with various genres, eventually developing and curating their own brand of underground rolling cosmic dark disco. Their sound is characterised by pulsating disco-tech beats, hypnotic cosmic synths, and harmonic feel-good melodies which are all brought together to create a sound that is both captivating and immersive.

They have played at some of the most prestigious venues and festivals around Cape Town, including WITH YOU, SEXY GROOVY LOVE, PANGEA, P.O.D, BAZIQUE, THE TROPICAL ROAST and MIDNIGHT OIL, to name just a few.
As well as being organisers and line-up curators for the TULPA COLLECTIVE and ART CAR at AFRIKABURN 2023 as well as OO-AH-SIES Camp

Purple Floyd's music has been praised for its forward-thinking approach, with their cosmic dark disco sound pushing the boundaries of electronic music. Their tracks are known for their soulful vocals, atmospheric soundscapes, and infectious grooves that are impossible to resist.
