Italian producer and DJ @da_lukas_tracks has a long pedigree in the music industry, cutting his teeth on the release front way back in the early 00's having success under a variety of monikers. 

Since then his music has gently morphed into his current Nu Disco sound for which he is known today and it continues to ebb and flow from disco edits through to completely original Nu disco gems. His latest release see's him land on @ghetto-disco-records with the Real Thing EP which was crafted using a live musicians. The warmth and depth of sound and the endless groove across the EP highlights this perfectly. 

Indeed soundwise the EP is Nu Disco fused with the funk of dancefloor Acid Jazz and it's the perfect antidote to the impending winter up here in the northern hemisphere. Our premier today is Free And Happy with it's ever so funky guitar and keys bouncing back and forwards perfectly across each other. This is a brilliant release for both label and artist showing just how dexterous a producer Da Lukas is. Magic Words delivers the perfect summer EP. Hailing from New York but channeling Balearic genius from the first notes the EP features Title Track Wabi Soba in 3 distinct guises including a dub and a chunky club retouch by Jex Opolis who takes this from poolside straight to the dancefloor.

Closing out with Kissy Kiss a slice of Italo Synth goodness which morph's into twisted disco, the perfect outro for what is an essential 12" as Razor-N-Tape continue to keep their game supercharged.

PREMIERE: A Fish Called Wanda, Alex Moiss - I Need You [Lisztomania]

'Do It Like That” is the result of the collaboration between Portuguese virtuosos Ramboiage and C4STRO and comes packed with a refreshing last-days-of-sunshine atmosphere. On the remix duty, none other than label mate 'Gus Paterson', with a splendid take on the track.

This is not Gus Paterson’s first rodeo on Citizens. His previous EPs, “Regole Di Terzi” and “Neritic”, turned the secretive London-based producer into one of the favourite artists of the acclaimed French label.

While Ramboiage & C4STRO’s original distils its magic through 122 BPM, on Gus’s hands “Do It Like That” now shines on delicious 116 and 119 beats per minute. Premiered here, the “Shake” interpretation comes with a more upbeat gait delivered by a frenzied concoction of piano and synth layers topped with frolic laser-like FXs.

Next up on London based Everybody In we have a 4 tracker from Belgium born Aemone. Stylistically this lo-fi EP has its roots firmly in the classic deep house but with a modern twist. Aemone's crafty sampling of obscure jazz, 90s rave and other sources has an astuteness which is rarely heard outside of the masters.

This vibe filled record is all about a dirty sampled sound, juxtaposed with a dance floor focus, from the rolling and dreamy Hold You to the quirky and non-standard kilter of Purple Sun and sampled creaminess of Rise, all the way to the 90's melter that is Take Your Time.

This is one of those EP's where the artist shows you a few of their different faces, all equalling more than the sum of the parts. This record features artwork by the 3D Italian artist Mauro Casalino and drops the 5th of June on Everybody In.
