@art-alfie, the eminent Swedish mastermind of unconditionally funky house blesses us with the privilege of two of his somewhat “out-there” house tracks. Two functional tools with maximum wonky-ness that will completely obliterate dance floors. The EP is released by Bigges District — a label run by Stockholm producers Ari Bald, Gudding and CJ Scott. Art Alfie’s enrollment on the label’s digital imprint DIGGES is a follow up on the series “Klubbdubbar”.

The EP takes off with ”Diana” — a house gadget made in collaboration with Måns Glaeser. “Diana”s ringing and chronometric synthesizer sounds and latin infused bass line stipulates a hefty and arid groove filled with color. On the flip “Libido Rising” enters. The tracks crooked and precarious character tosses the listener into a chaotic and tumultuous disposition. A brusque and wandering bassline accompanied by sprightly and agile jazz infused percussion culminates into this vigorous number.

Italian producer and DJ @da_lukas_tracks has a long pedigree in the music industry, cutting his teeth on the release front way back in the early 00's having success under a variety of monikers. 

Since then his music has gently morphed into his current Nu Disco sound for which he is known today and it continues to ebb and flow from disco edits through to completely original Nu disco gems. His latest release see's him land on @ghetto-disco-records with the Real Thing EP which was crafted using a live musicians. The warmth and depth of sound and the endless groove across the EP highlights this perfectly. 

Indeed soundwise the EP is Nu Disco fused with the funk of dancefloor Acid Jazz and it's the perfect antidote to the impending winter up here in the northern hemisphere. Our premier today is Free And Happy with it's ever so funky guitar and keys bouncing back and forwards perfectly across each other. This is a brilliant release for both label and artist showing just how dexterous a producer Da Lukas is. As in his eclectic sets his house sound is widely connected with origins of dance music. There is no surprise that giants like Ian Pooley and Don Carlos jumped in on this material to make mixes of their perception witch perfectly blends with Antonio's vision of Jupiter Deep EP. There is no better place than releasing Antonio's first outing than on Imogen Recordings. Jupiter Deep is just a first release of many more Antonio has prepared in near future.

Magic Words delivers the perfect summer EP. Hailing from New York but channeling Balearic genius from the first notes the EP features Title Track Wabi Soba in 3 distinct guises including a dub and a chunky club retouch by Jex Opolis who takes this from poolside straight to the dancefloor.
