Through My Window is a project supporting women experiencing isolation throughout lockdown.

Over the first lockdown and into Summer 2020 we amassed a series of recordings, photos and written work which responded to lockdown and feelings of isolation, coupled with moments of joy and creative connection.

Writers include: Lorraine, Svetlana, Michelle, Majan, Lynsey, Emily, Jan, Kathy, Judith, Dee, Anne, Mari and Marjorie.

Through My Window

In this episode, the Saturday Citizens raise awareness about living with disabilities and mental health issues, the group discuss their musical interests and recommendations for the week, and we hear a spoken word piece from Lloyd. 

Written and performed by the Saturday Citizens; Chloe, Haneen, Lloyd and Trudi. Supported by Morna McGeoch.

The original poem, ‘Lost Queens’ was written and performed by Lloyd.

Saturday Citizens Podcast: Episode 1

​A horror radio play created by the Citizens Theatre WAC Ensemble.

Cupid, Draw Back Your Bow is recommended for ages 15+. Scenes of violence, drug references and strong language. 

Inspired by their shared love of scary films, the company decided to create their own horror story for radio. Each of the ensemble created their own characters. The group then devised scenes where the characters came into conflict.

Cupid, Draw Back your Bow

Six historic statues that originally sat on the front of the building, have been restored, to put be put back on the roof of the building ahead of reopening.

The Community Collective has written a song inspired by the statues returning to the roof and imagining what they would think of the Gorbals now from this vantage point.
