Just a Little Bit Closer(A.lyr)

this was birthed out of a bass exercise that Nate Clark had been working on recently, i drew a blank near the end of the evening and, as usual, asked Nate to bust somethin' out, so he did
and it was sweet! also, it has a lyrical line that i straight up ROBBED from a Phil Keaggy song called 'Be in my Heart' from his album titled 'Find Me in These Fields' which was one of the most influential albums of my early years and i SO highly recommend it that i would bet the farm on EVERYONE who likes classic rock loving at least one track on it, if not the whole
record. (and yes, i am going to tell Mr. K that i swiped his lyric, i've been wanting to tell him what a seminal influence he's been on me for decades anywayz)  if you'd like a short version    of this song or any of our extended cuts, just let me know and i'll be happy to trim it down and post it for u

Burn In My Heart(betajam)

1st heavier jam we've done in a while, this one's for AJ;
wrapping up satnite 'coffee mingle' time, i had the urge to shred, so i figured-'i'll just mutate somethin generic and see if i can get away w/goin all crazy'... started fret3 to open (hence the title '3>o'), then the lead stuff actually sounded alrite once i gave it a listen, not quite enough squeal, but good for a frenzied grunge jam improv. 
also put it in stereo and panned a little for the 1st time in yrs; got to the point where mixing mono, well, i've exhausted my options to get a decent sound without one thing overtaking another and causing those eq jumps. i know if i try to put MY vox in this mix i'll have the freqs competing, vox will push the guitar down when ever it comes in. that's not to mention all the stuff we need to do isolate. 
any and all input will be well received!

this one has a 'big' feel to it. this must be what they call 'nasty rock organ'. it's just a sketch of an intro; got the 60's acid-fuzz vibe.

stretchin' out into keys more than ever! for a guy who's not even really phenomenal on guitar, that's QUITE a stretch!

Set Us Apart

We have been the house band at Shiloh Home of Hope in Emporia,KS, USA. 
for 5 years, now looking to the future that God has for us. Our involvement w/Shiloh goes back to before the doors were opened, including my original design of their logo and even cleaning the carpets. We have been on-site staff since the summer of 2012 and lead a Spirit fueled intercessory prayer & meditation event weekly (Tues. nites @6:30p) that we affectionately refer to as "Revalation Station". In addition, we try to consistently provide 30 min. of positive vibes during the "Open Fellowship" time of the regular Sat. nite event, and dedicate our time & talents to blessing the residents, clients & guests of the ministry and its branches.
