Citrus is the musical alias of Gabriel Melchor, a DJ and producer hailing from Denver, CO, with a wide range of styles encompassing everything from deep house to glitch hop.

Citrus has been considered one of the early pioneers of bass music culture in Colorado and beyond since 2002, when he started his DJ career playing DnB and jungle records on a pair of belt drive Numark turntables. Not long after, glitch hop and dubstep burst onto the stateside dance music scene. Inspired by these new sounds, he started exploring live remixing, charting new territory by mashing up diverse styles like rap, breakbeat, glitch, halftime DnB, and dubstep into multi-tempo, multi-genre sets with one common theme: dirty. ass. bass music.

Over two decades later, Citrus continues to carry on his tradition of pushing the envelope and working to evolve dance music culture as a co-founder of the Whomp Truck artist collective.

Over the years, Citrus has been privileged to share the stage with acts like Jantsen, MartyParty, Kraddy, Ginz, MiMoSA, Bil Bless, Subvert, Elite Force, and JPod, to name a few.
