Soul of the City
Johannesburg has been a melting pot in most spheres of the arts with music being no exception. However, an over saturation of mainstream influenced genres such as House, Hip Hop and Kwaito, just to name a few, has been quite evident in even the most underground related concepts in the City. Founded in 2013, City Soul Addicts has embarked on an intentional quest of being an entertainment agency that has a specific agenda of not being too top40 chart chasing but focusing on artist exchanges and development of the art of DJ’ing.
City Soul Addicts executive team, are experienced DJ's that have graced local and world stages and have reputable industry influence of over the 30years collectively. Individually the have unique sounds and styles of play which would include analog sessions with live acts, which makes it a lively show to watch and listen too. 
The music menu merged under the umbrella of genres (sub-genres) such as Acid jazz, Alternative, Balearic sounds, Down-tempo, Funk, Disco (with Nu-Disco), Neo-Soul, Lounge, Bossa-nova, break beats, Edits (of Motown-soul), unheard of Remixes of R&B and Mixes (of Deep & Soulful House), provides a common goal of refreshing sound for a mature ear and open-mind to explore new sounds. This choice of genres (and their sub-genres) has been a permeable membrane for a successful formula to segregate our client to a niche audience, cosmopolitan, mixed raced, 55 % female (thus 45 % male) 20 to 50-year olds congregating together for a common goal of fresh vibes (and decent ambience).
Packaged to build a charm to a feeling and gaiety to the patrons who unite under a space that has always left them addicted to what the City Soul Addicts has to offer.
