This is my Live Set from Fusion Festival 2019 recorded Saturday morning at the Sonnendeck stage. Thanks to everyone who came and shared this special moment with me.

On September 28, 2019, @OliverSchories brought scintillating deep house grooves to energize The King’s Hall at Cityfox TRANSCEND 2019, the Brooklyn Mirage closing event. His cavernous, yet gritty drumbeats, shoulder-jumping melodies, and layered samples woven beneath funky synths on full display!

Since infiltrating and exciting the electronic scene in The Netherlands post-debut album release,’Herzensangelegenheit in 2011, Schories — a now celebrated German born-and-bred DJ and producer has been busy, focused, and consistently committed to releasing coherent, quality work spanning seemingly uncorrelated genres and decades and playing the worldwide stage from festivals to underground clubs. His most recent EP is the impressive, fifth studio-album release ‘Blitzbahn,' dropped in March 2018.

Oliver's formative adolescent years were spent listening to rock legends like the Credence Clearwater Revival and The Beatles. He attended his first electronic music nightclub when he was 15 years old, fell in love with the record ‘Experience’ by The Prodigy and still sites his early introduction to fellow hometown hero, Stephan Bodzin as being the pivotal moments that cemented his love for the genre he’s heavily influencing today.

In this mix, you can hear the appreciation for the popular whining harmonies of guitar strings and vocal samples creating a lyrical rhythm beneath a sometimes haunting and sometimes hopeful sustaining house beat.

Berlin Club Culture is facing the biggest challenge in its history. On Friday, the 13th of March, all of Berlin´s nightlife was officially shut down to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Since then, about 9000 employees, as well as tens of thousands of artists have been without work and wages, and the existence of many of the places that give Berlin its identity is threatened.

As a reaction to the closing of all Berlin clubs and to the rest of the world being in quarantine, Berlin is showing its support and solidarity by bringing the biggest possible digital club to your home.
