So this mix is years overdue... As a DJ who started out playing strictly DnB I used to have a secret hate on for house music. House was always a dirty word in my vocabulary but over the years, especially during the pandemic I started to dig it more and more. My doctor said there was nothing wrong with me, it's perfectly normal to like house music.😅 I'm no aficionado but, for a while, I've wanted to put together a bunch of my favorite housey & garagey tunes. So here it is, my first ever House (and a little garage) mix Durty Wurd! Perfect for summer time boogies, road trips, pool parties, orgies etc...

The last morning of a good music festival has always been a sacred time to me. The dancefloor is often filled with seats, couches, and hammocks sometimes resembling more of a theatre than a dance. The maniacs are maniac-ing. The wooks are wooking. Some people are just rising, others have yet still yet to give in to sleep. The pros who've worked to provide this experience all weekend long are finally able to cut loose. And everyone is soaking in the last few precious moments of this collective memory that will last a lifetime.

With so many people in very different different head spaces, it's a very delicate vibe to play music for. Thank you to Wicked Woods for trusting me to curate the last sunrise of this special event. Thank you to everyone who was awake at 7:30am. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to listen to this recording...And thanks to the sun for continuing to rise!

"10 years of Bliss Coast and the journey goes on. Each year has been a monumental effort and my long-term goal to achieve 10 volumes comes to completion with the release of Muse & Marvel. Over the years many fans have told me how much they still love volume 1, Grass & Gospel. So to round out the series I decided to revisit the year one theme and produce another set of bluegrass and gospel songs refreshed for the festival dancefloor and maximum smiles. This was the first time I'd ever played a sunrise Coma Dose set. I hadn't intended to record it, at first, but it really was a special set that I'll never forget and a lot of folks have been asking about it. Also I feel like I owe it to all the homies, trolls, fans and fam that stayed up all night to wub with me at the crack of dawn. This is for you. At my first Otherworld I played 5 completely different sets but I was really stoked for this one because I've wanted to play a live Coma Dose set for years. It went down at the Temple of Eternal Nectar stage at Sunrise. and it was magical.

Mt. Doyle - Coma Dose Live - Otherworld 2024

It was such an honour to be invited back to Basscoast to perform for a second year in a row - an invitation thats importance was not lost on me. A lot of DJ's shy away from day time sets, but to me, playing in the day and killing it is a hallmark of a good DJ. You can't go too hard or it won't fit the vibe, but if you don't go hard enough it can be boring. You really have walk a fine line. So shout out all DJ's who can play at all times of night and day, and the producers making the music and remixes that can fit a dance floor or a car ride home from the festival.

This years theme being "Reflection" I wanted to present an accurate portrayal stylistically of my last ten years as a DJ. Ranging the full spectrum of BPM and leaving to no stone unturned, utilizing new techniques and technology that only became available to me this year, and trying things on stage I've never tried before, I am very proud to present my set from Basscoast 2024 at the Cabin Stage on Saturday afternoon. If you were there, I hope this brings you back to a happy place, and if this is your first time hearing it, I hope you enjoy.

Mt. Doyle has been a staple DJ on the west coast for many years now. His styles range from drum and bass, funk, house, hip-hop, and bass music. He is not one to sit quietly, continually pushing his music at festivals and clubs all over the West coast.
