Let It Chill Vol. 2

This year I had the glorious honour to play at both the Spring and Fall Wicked Woods Music Festivals. I played in the first slot on Thursday afternoon at the Unicorn Stage in the Spring, and the second slot at the same stage in the Fall. I belted out two sets chocked full of the vibiest tunes I could round up to get people in the mood to groove for the rest of the whole weekend!

I finished my first set with some slow house beats, and by chance used one of the same songs to start my Fall set. So I thought, why the hell wouldn't I stitch these bad boys together, fix a few sections of dodgy vinyl fuzz, and give you all the chance to enjoy them both in one vibey mix! :)

I put a lot of effort into these sets, but due to some technical difficulties with the sound, I didn't get too crazy with the turntablism, and I had to cut a few mins out of my Spring set to stitch them together. Soooo I hope you enjoy this smooth, sultry Wicked Woods Mix, from your's truly, Benanas.

"Daze Gone By" is a hip hop mix featuring raps that I've been listening to since grade school, along with some newer cuts. Despite the difference in time all of the tracks share that backpacky boombappy flavour and flow that made the era that we've grown to love and revere so golden. Boom bap sounds from today and yesterday. Recorded in one take on Technic 1200's and a Rane 57. RIP Mac Miller (January 19, 1992 – September 7, 2018).
