There have been plenty of times in my life when I've felt like I was a thousand miles from nowhere. But every time, I've pulled myself back up and found my way back. It's not always easy, but it's what you have to do.

Close Enough To Perfect

For me, this song is more about Randy Newman than Disney. I've always loved his creativity and musical style. He may not always "sound" like he's hitting the right notes, but that's part of his charm, and it works. Hopefully, I've been able to channel enough of my own "inner Randy Newman" to capture the essence of the original. 

Oh, and as for the title, the sentiment is true....You've got a friend in me. :)

What She's Doing Now

Anyone who's ever moved away from their childhood home, and returned for a visit years later, will be able to relate to this song. I'm pretty sure we've all made that drive past old familiar places and gotten lost in the memories. I know I have. :)

Originally recorded in 1991 with Lee Greenwood, this is the song that first introduced me to Suzy Bogguss. I've always considered this the quintessential country duet, and I'm honored that the lovely and talented Holly Figueroa O'Reilly agreed to sing it with me. Without a doubt, this is my favorite Little Texas song. The lyrics are simple, and the story familiar, but the lesson still holds true...don't hang on to the past, and don't have regrets; because in the end, they aren't worth anything.

What Might Have Been

This is one of the only Keith Urban songs I know, but it's certainly a good one. Some people consider this the ultimate love song, and they very well may be right.

Making Memories Of Us

Maybe it's the hopeless romantic in me, but I really do think that singing a love song is about the most romantic thing a man can do for a woman. That's what this song's about. for me though, this song brings back some old high school memories...good times...good times indeed! :)

For all of my friends who have found their way here from the Facebook, I'm glad you made it! For everyone else, WELCOME to my little slice of Soundcloud.

I intend for this to be a place where I can share my cover recordings, and maybe a few collaborative efforts as well. Tracks will primarily be divided into set lists, each dedicated to a particular artist whose music has inspired me. Hopefully, some of it will inspire you as well. 

Music has always been a part of my life, and in many ways, has helped define the person I have become. I can only hope it can do the same for you.
