CJ Slayer is a fresh Melbourne DJ making waves. Winner of Your Shot 2022, she’s long been in the electronic music scene, raving her way to a solid musical education.

Her sets are driving with a diverse range of electro beats to dark-wave/post-punk, hard hitting techno, with an attempt to bring her audience on a journey to the unknown. 

Recently, CJ made her international debut at Chasing Summer festival supporting Tiesto in Canada. She has played at events around Melbourne with Beaufort Beats, Warg, MTC and Track08 to name a few.

She’s also a host at DJ Social Club open decks, and is passionate about social connection, and creating positive vibes within the community.

KissFM Live Radio Interview & Mix with Ordia on Positive Education (25 Nov)

My fave set to date played live at the Toff in Melb. Expect a dark techno, a splash of my 80s electro and just a few fun bouncy tracks in between.

CJ Slayer, winner of Your Shot 2022, has long been in the electronic music scene, raving her way to a solid musical education. Her sets are driving, blending a diverse range of techno, breaks and dark-wave electro with an energetic mixing style involving creative layers, drops and builds in an attempt to bring her audience on a journey to the unknown. Recently, CJ made her international debut at Chasing Summer Festival, in Canada. She’s supported international artists Tiesto, James Hype, Stranger and Rebekah and has played at venues including Sub Club, Revs, Guerns, 24 Moons and the Third Day. She also hosts DJ Social Club open decks and is passionate about creating positive vibes in the community.

Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement, a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. This can be applied to our music policy, tilting the vertical axis resulting in a sharp area of focus without reducing the depth of field. The selective focus that can be achieved by both tilting and shifting movements, It's compelling because the effect is different from that which you may have become accustomed to. This movement is often used to avoid the convergence of parallel lines, or as we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur.
