Techtonic Techno Set (Rubix Warehouse, Melbourne)

Set performed at Konnekt'D Movement event at Sub Club Melbourne on the 9th of June 23. A mix of high energy driving and hypnotic techno. I finally didn't make any stuff up's live haha. Comment for TrackID. I gotcha ;)

Set I played at Chasing Summer 2023 festival in Calgary in Canada. I had the best time playing this set to a new audience with a mix of genres, I don't normally get to play. It's mainly house/tech house, electro vibes with of course a some groovy Techno.

CJ Slayer is a fresh Melbourne DJ making waves. Winner of Your Shot 2022, she’s long been in the electronic music scene, raving her way to a solid musical education.

Her sets are driving with a diverse range of electro beats to dark-wave/post-punk, hard hitting techno, with an attempt to bring her audience on a journey to the unknown. 

Recently, CJ made her international debut at Chasing Summer festival supporting Tiesto in Canada. She has played at events around Melbourne with Beaufort Beats, Warg, MTC and Track08 to name a few.

She’s also a host at DJ Social Club open decks, and is passionate about social connection, and creating positive vibes within the community.

KissFM Live Radio Interview & Mix with Ordia on Positive Education (25 Nov)

Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement, a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. This can be applied to our music policy, tilting the vertical axis resulting in a sharp area of focus without reducing the depth of field. The selective focus that can be achieved by both tilting and shifting movements, It's compelling because the effect is different from that which you may have become accustomed to. This movement is often used to avoid the convergence of parallel lines, or as we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur.
