Halos is a song about the difference between goodness and righteousness, and the distractions in the world that confuse the two. It's like Foo Fighters made a Rush song, or maybe the other way around?
It's got a bit of tenderness, it's got a bit of bite, and when it counts, a whole lot of groove.

Halos

It's the kind of 90s alt rock single that could be a hit. It's the Gin Blossoms, Jimmy Eat World, Better than Ezra magical mix of uptempo major scale riffs combined with alternative vocals and lyrics full of hopeful ennui (how does that work?)
It's a fun jam. It'll hype you up. The guitar solo goes hard. And then it brings it all home.

Begin Again

This is a song about playing the hand you're dealt and refusing to let luck dictate your fate. It's a breakneck pace for the groove with a big anthemic chorus and a frenetic instrumental section. Alternative rock meets progressive rock in a way that just feels like a musical roller coaster ride.

Dealer, Dealer

Guardians is a rip-roaring riff monster that builds to wailing crescendoes in the vocals and guitar solo, with a creeping bridge plucked from the likes of Megadeth and Anthrax and verses that harken back to the stadium rock of AC/DC and Van Halen.
It's a song that wears its influences on its sleeves, but carves its own identity as the climactic escalation of the 3 track EP.

Guardians

Better Angles is the final song from the Halos EP. Stripped down to just a guitar and bass performance, it removes the frenetic energy built by its predecessors and instead weaves through a melody with ample space to draw your imagination in many directions.
The cathartic rise and fall in tension of the song never breaks its own surface tension creating a calm, gentle landing to the 3-song arc of Halos. A meditative finale to reflect on what has come before, and what could come next.

Better Angels

Killer riffs, spacey solos, thunderous grooves, and wailing vocals. Also "The Stank Face". Rock N Roll never tasted so good.
