You might find that the piano playing at the beginning seems a little out of tune - that’s because I’m
not using the standard western scale known as equal temperament. I’ve actually tuned the piano in
line with the alp horn, the national musical instrument of Switzerland. It’s a really long (like, several
metre-long) horn with no holes in the sides so it actually plays in a natural harmonic overtone series,
so I think it gives the piano a beautiful clear resonance as well as (to western ears) a sort of gentle
wooziness. The rhythmic elements of the track are inspired pretty much directly by the original, just
translated into a quicker tempo with some added sound design. I’m really interested to hear what

people think!

@kin_teal is a Budapest based producer, making organic and tactile music that’s rooted in club culture. Kin Teal as a project is meant to express the contrast and connection between nature and humanity, and juxtapose natural textures with machine-made ones. This sensibility is expressed via ever-twisting bass music with influences far and wide geographically and stylistically.
His live sets see him rearrange existing tracks into new constellations and explore unheard-before and improvised soundscapes.

Soa420 - Egregore Anniversary Special (Avril 2025)

For the past few months, I have been working on recording a set that I could truly be proud of. After a fair share of mistakes and missteps, I finally feel like this latest mix really nails the essence of where I am at with electronic music at this point in my life. Even though this mix is still far from perfect, I think it's a good first attempt - not counting the ones I scrapped, of course 😉

The mix covers a spectrum of genres ranging from electro, breaks, techno, house, and UK garage. Hopefully, this mix will be the first of many  🙏🏼 Words can't describe how grateful I am to be involved in a community that has helped me realize my sense of identity for nearly 10 years now. Thank you all so much for being a part of it!
