Conversation With The Sky (Kanye Thursday 1)

Week 2  of the Kanye challenge was very interesting. I stepped out of my comfort zone and played around with "Down n Out" by Cam'ron. It was quite a challenge for me but hopefully you dig it. LOVE yourself...

 I am speaking out to my men! Being "down" does not mean you must put on a fake persona and be that stereotype you are led to believe you are. Don't claim a life that does not claim you back. "Down" to me means you are comfortable in your skin and grounded in self so that you can stand for yourself. Once you can stand for yourself I can trust you'll be able to hold me down too. How does one hold you down if they can't stand up for themselves?!

I've done freestyle challenges for years to challenge me. This is never super serious and is mixed, recorded, and sung by me. (So not album quality lol)

I haven't had a chance to pay homage to another one of my favs 9th Wonder!!  His beat "Thanks I Get" inspired me in the moment and this is what came of it. Such a legend and I hope he doesn't mind me airing some stuff out over his beat.

Be clear with your intentions. It doesn't feel good to waste time and get hurt by someone who doesn't know their intentions or has ill intentions.
