Regurgitated

I drop into the midst of a scene so vile
And they come with vows of pain and grief
Fiendlike skies sing of a trailing doom
I put on a last stand for my life

Battered, bruised, abused, defeated
Attacks, they come from every angle
Every defense falls down in front of
this maddening frenzy of violence
All pleas for mercy drowned in pain,
cynic laughter and more brutality
There is only so much I can take
The self, the I, escapes another place

Spacing out
giving up
fading out into the darkness
Falling down
to the ground
slipping out into the other side
Losing life
losing light
fading out into the silence
Cannot see
cannot feel
I have sunk into the swamp of darkness..

A single string of light forming in the Void
gathers up a new tangent energy
Forming in the Void, forming in the sky
Gather into life, gather up to me

A single swipe throws me back
suddenly I feel the power of life
Cosmic force touches the
essence of the I, reshaping it anew
All damage comes undone
injuries, they fade regenerated
All my wounds closing down,
I escape the fate of mortal existence!

Once again I stand against the world
It's a scene of vivid familiarity
Stabs, they pierce this body relentlessly
Then my wounds, they close up instantly

How many times have we walked through this same path?
Each time with the same outcome - I just keep rising

A single swipe throws me back
suddenly I feel the power of life
Cosmic force touches the
essence of the I, reshaping it anew

The Demiurge wants to keep me locked
in this earthly presence 'till the end of times
So every time that I am touched by death
it rejects me, repels me - I get regurgitated

Trapped..
Trapped between lives
Trapped..
Trapped between lies

How many times are you going to try and strike me down?
You strike and strike and I'll just get back up, 
it is an exercise of futility
One of many you only are in passage of time
Through every age of humanity 
I'll keep on enduring ill and fatality

..and it goes on and on and on and on 'till the end of times
