Found Lost

Discover is part of Clan Brude's upcoming 4 track EP release. It brings together house beats with a looped guitar sample off-set with ethereal vocals to create a progressive chilled feel. The piano hook provides the uplift with the panned vocal stabs providing the trance feel. The inspiration was really the concept of losing then finding oneself musically and through travel. The artwork is an image taken whilst on a recent trip to the borderlands of China and Russia.

This track is my take on the future house genre with big builds and synth heavy leads. I felt it had a haunting drive to it hence the name, plus it was conceived of on a produced during the darkness of the pandemic (which is kind of why I got into music production).

The Threat

A pure escapist flying in the clouds kind of a track! I layered up some deep saw wave synths to create a lovely warmth. My vocalist followed up on this by adding the escapist lyrics to a catchy melody. I wanted to add a little trop-house vibe with extra vocal stabs and a plucked motif. The added bouncy bass further gives the trop-house feel. You can listen either on the beach or on a rainy day!

Heart Racin' Extended Mix

Inspiration for this track came from a trip to Yunnan province in China. It has an organic feel to it borne out of beauty of the environment in this part of South East China. The track cycles around an Indian chant (and ends with a Tibetan chant). The track has a deliberate organic feel with lead lines that meander but don't necessarily hook around. It was great fun to make and was subsequently mixed and mastered at Timverb studio ready for streaming and clubland.

This track is a spoken word emotive house track. Based on a brief spoken word recording, it is an ode to Lagos, Nigeria. I put in some synthy hooks to build the emotion at the break and drop, and then the it breaks into a club-focused track with driving kick and hi-hats.
