Playing at Boom Festival always represents the peak of my wishes as a DJ, playing at Funky Beach for sunset this year is where that wish came true (even if, honestly, my supreme wish is to play in Alchemy Circle!). I designed this set to support me with period pain (when I still had a period), but it can be the perfect soundtrack for different stories… it’s slow and soothing, but also very trippy and visions-inducing, definitely psychedelic, but gentle… Low lights, soft volume, a solo session of connection with one’s womb, or a massage, or any other exploration of the mysteries of the body…

I recorded it in the depth of winter in Tuscany, while slow-cooking chicken broth and caressing the red cat… like a menopausal witch, stirring the cauldron and spreading soothing vibes to those who may need them…

This is to celebrate the precious opportunity I had to host some ecstatic dance sessions in Florence, the city that is like a home town for me. I thank all the old and new friends who joined what for many was a new experience. This is dedicated to all of you, who supported this adventure, Laura and Pamela, the staff from Teatro Instabile, Graziella, the other Laura, Valeria, Birbo, my family and all the people who reached out with so much openness and a big wish to dance and release. This is the recording of our last session, with a few Italian songs woven into the fabric of this ecstatic tapestry... Spero vi riporti ai bei momenti passati insieme, e spero soprattutto che presto balleremo di nuovo insieme...

This set was recorded in my hometown Panzano in Chianti (Tuscany, Italy) in July 2019 for the Brazilian label Casa Chaos. A safe space where to rest in the middle of a busy summer… it is a mosaic of sensual, soothing, nurturing soundscapes, where to find refuge in the middle of the craziness of life, to re-tune to one’s own source of peace and power. Clandestina's first official gig in the USA had the supreme honor to be hosted by Ecstatic Dance in Oakland (sunday morning session!), considered one of the orginal incubators of the Ecstatic Dance experience worldwide!

The Dance of Resilience starts slow and introspective to then grow into an irresistible tide bringing joy, release, enthusiasm and finally solace and nurturance. Its intention is to build the inner resilience we need in these crazy times of urgency and emergency. This was the last set I played for an Ecstatic Dance session. It was more than one month ago, in Sintra, Portugal, and the energy was very high and joyous. I share it on the first day of spring, in the middle of the first quarantine. May it allow us all to feel the power of the life force within, the energy pushing life to reproduce itself endlessly, no matter what.

I had the honour to prepare this mix for a very interesting Palestinian radio project, born during the quarantine:

"Radio Alhara emerges in a time of isolation and boredom, a time where the future of the world as we know it remains unknown.
The project is inspired by Radio il Hai Beirut and Radio Alhuma Tunis, which were in turn inspired by Radio Quartiere Milano.
This is a communal radio station/program/project, it begins in Bethlehem and Ramallah, and aims to extend to other places in Palestine and throughout the world, an open platform for listening, adding, discussing, and chatting. So we can all go through this time of solitude while communicating and reminding each other of each other. We hope this is the beginning of a collective space that will continue once this worldwide crisis is over.
We won’t know all the ones who are listening, nor the ones who will be adding and broadcasting, such is this digital situation we are living in now. But we send hope and courage to everyone, and we tell you: See you soon!
Stay tuned, from the bedroom to the living room and back again... "
