I'm uploading this track after completing it almost 6 months ago. I didn't want to release it because I didn't know if certain people(a couple of people really) were going to use it. I clearly got tired of waiting lol, as this is my favorite work to date. This is a sample/remix of a song by Jackson Breit(dude's a beast), called 'Two Timing'. I really want someone to spit over this, so please send me a direct message if you want to use it. No cost, free, I just don't like posting them for download. I want to know who's using it, you know? To celebrate the new season of the Episodic Festival series, premiering next week on August 4th and 5th at The Gorge Amphitheater in George, WA, Pretty Lights has released a collection of rare, and unreleased tunes into the hands of fans in the form of USB 2.0. As the “Pretty Lights Movement” project continues to evolve, the idea of getting old and rare tunes to the fans as a way to progressively collaborate, bring the entire community together, share art in a different format, and move these rare pieces of sound forward to the social media platform also continues to evolve.

The Pretty Lights team has big things in store for this years Episodic Festival Series and the rest of 2017, along with the growing #PLMovement project… The expansion of this idea, the ongoing collaboration within the PLF community, and the sharing of art from all the different artists involved in new progressive ways, are things to look forward to from the PL team and the family in the near future… Stay Tuned!

“Momento,” is a crossover track that blends the virtuosity of bebop with a drum n’ bass backbeat. This release from J.E.D.I. on Color Red epitomizes every single aspect of the band’s acronymic name “Jazz Electronic Dance Improvised.” There’s the jazzy flavor reminiscent of Tony Williams in the Miles Davis fusion era. There’s a signature drum ’n' bass tempo that will transport you to a London warehouse in the early 90s and there’s plenty of improvisation, best highlighted through the sax solo by Dominic Lalli. Above all, the track serves as a “momento,”—a sonic depiction of embracing the moment and a new keepsake that encompasses the past, present, and future in one.
