This is a track I did with my band 1896. It was recorded at my makeshift basement studio. I played guitar and engineered the track. We are an instrumental jam band and this jam was recorded live.

Calmer Than You Are (15ips via Sony 2Track)

!896. came together as a brand new Quartet.  The recordings are done in my home basement where all members played together live in the same room.  In case you didn't get a chance to hear this improvised tune off of our first album Manniglow, here is a taste of what we are attempting to do with jazz in the modern age remastered to an old Sony 2-track running 15ips. "Harlem Davidson" to Tape

A live improvisational free-jazz jam. Recorded with an iPhone 4. Electric Bass and an old time Upright Piano that's as old as the home where this was recorded. I then ran the track through my Sony 2-Track Reel to reel where the track length was shortened from the original jam by a few minutes due to tape length. Enjoy this little jam about the man who has been listening to 1896. for many many years.
