What’s Up Desert Hearts Family,

​Looking back to 2014 ​when we first learned ​that we​ ​had ​confirmed DJ T. ​to ​headline​ our Desert Hearts Spring Festival,​ we had no idea that cold weekend would be one of the most pivotal moments ​in the early chapters of the Desert Hearts tail. 

At the time the family was still growing and together we were rocked by some of mother natures harshest elements, throughout the weekend, both rain and snow graced the grounds of Apple Valley and lead to a memory we will never forget, which was later dubbed as the infamous Snowy Hearts. 

​Flash forward five years, we knew we had to invite T. back into our new home at Los Coyotes and show him how this family has blossomed into the beautiful collective we all know and love today. 

T. wholeheartedly stands behind our mantra of spreading as much love as humanly possible and we couldn’t have been happier to have had him take the reigns on Sunday afternoon of the festival. With so much history from the mid ‘80s as one of the ​forefronts to Sven Vath’s legendary Omen club in Frankfurt, a creative behind Groove Magazine, and label-head of Get Physical​, it’s truly an honor to have a mogal like Thomas be considered an integral piece in our family.

In a now long forgotten world, many generations ago, a bird like shape emerged from wooded darkness, floating and fluttering, drifting and dreaming. Backlit by a bright glow of iridescent light, the undecipherable form wore a dazzling golden mask. Its long beak swooped down like an inverted horn and since then, people have referred to the mythical being simply as Claptone...
