Burgeoning DJ and producer Bontan makes his debut on the notorious Hot Creations label. Hotly anticipated, the release features two original cuts to fuel his rising profile.

UK based Bontan has been using title track The First Time as his secret weapon for the last six months and is now finally unleashing it. “I’ve been testing it and tweaking it play by play!’ he explains. ‘The vocal compliments the rolling bass melody and gives it a darker edge”. This a producer who fully understands how to create a track for a heaving dancefloor. Personal Question is the second cut and flips the mood entirely with a twisted vocal entwined in beeps and percussion, whilst stirring the sentiments of lost early hours.

A firm favourite in the underground scene, he has built a solid reputation with releases on Circus Recordings, 20/20 Vision, and Cajual among others.

Holland’s tech house maestro Rene Amesz has been releasing floor fillers on labels like Toolroom, Suara and Spinnin Deep for years. He starts things off here with a supersonic, bass-heavy take on “Lucky Star” that is naughty and filled with ever more energy.

Great Stuff all-star Mike Vale is an important part of the global dance music circuit for years and always delivers the goods in perfect style, and he does so once again here with his heartfelt take on “Lucky Star” that merges flammable beats with tense low frequencies and cosmic sounds.

Originally from Haarlem in the Netherlands, globetrotting from London to Dubai to Barcelona and now living in Ibiza since 2012, Martijn ten Velden has long established himself as a leading DJ/producer on an international level. It was back in March that Claptone unveiled his latest single, the infectious and hypnotic groove ‘The Drums (Din Daa Daa) Ft. George Kranz’. The tune has gone on to become something of a dancefloor sensation across the globe since first emerging as the ubiquitous weapon-of-choice at this year’s Miami Music Week. Now Spanish Tech House titan Dennis Cruz, exploding UK talent Latmun and BBC R1 favourite Friend Within deliver three peak-time remixes to continue the story deep into the summer. 
 
The original is the next summer anthem to come from the masked man, now an annual event that has seen Claptone release four consecutive holiday-time cuts that have soundtracked the Ibiza and festival season. That run started with ‘Cream’ back in 2012, the now legendary ‘No Eyes’, THAT remix of Gregory Porter and last summer’s runaway Golden Summer theme 'In The City'.
