Thanks to the Paris DJs & Jewpop crews, here's an incredible occasion to both learn French and get relaxed with this 1st Captain Détendu single.

A Master of hypnotic rhythms and stupid samples, Captain Détendu expresses here his deep love of Hawaiian music, wha wha guitars and bongoes. Tthe 'granpa' voice you'll hear all along this track comes from the cult 1960s recording 'Le Disque Qui Guérit', a.k.a. 'The Record That Heals', by French fakir Yvon Yva.

'Détendu' is a French word for cool, relaxed, easygoing… So is this electro-downtempo or funky-exotica lounge? Nope, this is the ultimate 'Détendu' formula: peaceful music + out-of-step humour = absolute happiness! As the fakir Yvon Yva said: 'un infini bien-être s'empare de vous' (an infinite well-being sensation flows over you)…

Produced by the wizard dubmeister Grant Phabao, Captain Détendu's anthem 'Détendu' will bring you calm and serenity, and a better understanding of the French language. Listen at least twice a day for a better results.

            Fink returns to tantalise your eardrums this Summer with lead single and title track from his brand new album, “Sort of Revolution”. As if the original wasn’t already an effortlessly classy, subtle and moving piece of work, Fink has enlisted label-mate Jason Swinscoe for a rare-as-hen’s-teeth Cinematic Orchestra remix. The single, available as a digital only bundle, also includes a genius spaced-out Dub remix from Sideshow, and yet another perfect piece of songwriting, delivery, and production from Fink in exclusive bonus track “Don’t Look Down”. 
            
            Fin Greenall, aka Fink, is among the more understated of the world's 'singer-songwriters', relying on uncompromising quality of work and an astounding stage presence, rather than major label marketing budgets. Swinscoe, likewise, is more keen on making music than chattering about it in the press. His career has, nevertheless, attracted superlatives from the outset, and includes collaborations with the likes of Fontella Bass and Roots Manuva, the re-soundtracking of Dziga Vertov’s classic “Man With A Movie Camera,” and a sell-out show at the Royal Albert Hall last year. Together they have crafted a miniature epic of love and longing… a velvet revolution indeed.
