We're really excited to kick off the first instalment of our monthly mix series with Potency Records label head and original AVA crew member Cromby.

Each month we'll aim to focus the mix and conversations around a theme, and recently we caught up with Cromby to chat around his creative work with his recent move into the painting world with Cromby Paints, as well as his upcoming work on his potency label + more.

Stockholm based Mikael Nordgren, aka Tiger Stripes has slowly but surely built up a solid international career as a prestigious and well sought after underground producer, remixer and DJ.

The Swedish has one of the deepest discographies in house and techno, marked by an ear for deep grooves, dynamic arrangements and cleverly utilised vocals. In a career spanning 15 years, those-in-the-know won’t argue: he’s one of the industry’s most dependable and creative talents.

As Tiger Stripes he has travelled every corner of the world playing his techno and gritty tech house. Mikael has played legendary clubs like Panorama Bar, Space Ibiza and Watergate and his music has been released by heavyweight underground labels, like Drumcode, Desolat and Hot Creations and he has collaborated with legends like Kerri Chandler, Adeva, Leroy Burgess and Jerome Sydenham.

For number 153 in the LWE Mix Series we welcome young Irish phenom, @rebukemusic.

Those who know, know; Rebūke's got one of the freshest and more original sound signatures in techno. Despite the lack of gigs in recent times, he's smashed it in 2020, with a list of production triumphs as long as your arm; a surefire remix of Fatboy Slim & Eats Everything's 'All the Ladies'; a return EP 'Dial Tone' on Dirtybird; an acclaimed re-rub of Human Resource's '90s classic 'Dominator'; a killer three-tracker on Drumcode titled 'Obscurity', before rounding out the year with 'Ultimate Distortion', his mammoth collaboration with Alan Fitzpatrick, which features in this mix.

Looking ahead to 2021, he’ll return to his Drumcode home base with a new EP ‘Wasp’ due in March, the next taste of his innovative take on techno. Two cuts from the EP feature on this mix.
