Another one from high school, same era as my heartbreak songs but totally different vibe. This was about being completely obsessed with someone - that teenage thing where you can't think about anything else.

I always heard this as rock, not a slow song, even though the lyrics sound romantic. The words are simple because that's how you actually think when you're seventeen and crazy about someone. "Sitting here alone, thinking of no one but you" - that was my reality.

The repetitive lyrics were on purpose. When you're that into someone, your brain just spins out of control with the same thoughts over and over. "You're in everything I see" wasn't poetry, it was just true.

Calling her "my queen" in the bridge was me trying to make this crush sound important and epic. Looking back, it's pretty naive, but that's what made it real.

With AI, I finally got to hear it the way I always imagined - driving guitars with vulnerable lyrics. It's like being a lovesick teenager trying to act tough about it.
