You Found Me

He Knows is a song i wrote about being in the throws of a breakup and all the torment and conflict it can bring up, but ultimately the song is about successfully moving on and believing in love and happiness again.

I am a singer/songwriter based in Glasgow. I've written all of my songs at home on acoustic guitar since i was 13 years old. I have worked with various musicians and producers, most recently James Duffin, a young Glasgow Producer who has worked with Leon Jackson and Alisha Dickson. I have had encouraging feedback from Ricky Ross of Deacon Blue who loved He Knows and has been a good source of guidance along the way. Most recently i wrote a song that was heard by Greg Wells who is a songwriter based in California - he co-wrote Katy Perry's first hit single Ur So Gay and has also co-written with Rufus Wainwright, one of my favourite artists.

I have been working on some live acoustic sets with a great session guitar Ian Thomson who is currently touring with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers. And recently had some lovely words of encouragement from Alex Capranos of Franz Ferdinand who gave me some guidance on my songwriting.

I am always busy writing and have a big back catalogue of songs that i am desperate to bring to new life. I've yet to record an album and its my biggest ambition for the year ahead. My hope is that i can work on the production side of my music and craft an album that really gets to the heart of my songs and creates a place for me in the Industry. Hopefully the competition can help me make that a reality.

I have always been inspired to make music that makes a difference, and if i can alter the state of even just one person's experience of life through my songs then i feel i've achieved something incredible.
