Soundsystem lovers got their appetite well and truly whet when Deep Medi announced news of a new @Kaijudub LP — 'Seven Sins'. The dubplate fanatic duo, Jamie Schildhauer and Paul White, have been mining the low end since around 2011, recently signing to the renowned bass/dubstep label for a couple of single releases, but are now offering up their debut full-length. The longplayer sees the pair team up with Jack Gates, Gantz, Total Science and Riya — and if we tell you there's seven (deadly) tracks on the LP, we probably don't need to tell you what they're called. 'Sloth', which we're premiering today, makes use of hypnotic, reverberating drum taps and shadowy vocal snarls.

Why run one label when you can run multiple? That’s presumably the thinking behind Wisdom Teeth boss @k-lone93 unveiling his new sister label, Wych, with a collaborative EP. Teaming up with LA lyricist Ill Chill, the ‘Rare Jewels’ six-tracker is a series of dark, deviant bass bombs with introspective vocals from the US rapper - who has been known in the past to spar with dubstep titans Compa and Truth. ‘Dank’ (which we recently premiered the video of) can now be streamed in full via the player below, and it’s well worth a test drive on a bassbin near you.

Is there anything better than a DJ that can work a floor and has the time of their life doing it? Perhaps the best thing about @billy-daniel-bunter is how much he bloody loves raving — a joyous character in a culture of DJing that often takes itself too seriously, he’s been instrumental in the UK rave scene. Over the past 26 years, the walking rave encyclopedia and self-described ‘full time piss head’ hasn't necessarily been heralded by the mainstream music press, but has nonetheless made an indelible mark on UK dance culture. A permanent fixture at all manner of mass parties — the likes of Helter Skelter, Dreamscape, and Rezurection — Bunter’s been there right from the start and continues to crop up at the UK’s biggest underground events. French producer Jean Tonique wants to have fun. In fact, it's pretty much his raison d'etre. Live and behind the decks, Jean Tonique wants to move the crowd, to get those bodies shaking.

New album 'Well Mannered Frivolity' is pretty much a mission statement, with the producer sluicing together disco, the French house lineage, and so much more. A delectable, delicious achievement, Jean Tonique adds a fresh pop touch that makes these underground tropes completely accessible. Of course, it also helps that 'Well Mannered Frivolity' is packed with banger after banger...

Completing a new mix for Clash readers, Jean Tonique opens with some party-starters, including Kaytranada's titanic edit of TLC's classic R&B rump-shaker 'Flippin On You'. Matching Hll & Oates against Shalamar, the French producer dives back into the underground with a series of edits, including his own take on an Idris Muhammad classic. Just the sort of thing we need to shake off those Monday blues, then.
