sound quality transferring from tape to laptop not great here(had to use old Walkman! I'll try and upload a better quality version in the coming weeks) but here is one of the first times we played out live, at Fusion vs Delusion in 1998, the last set of the night in the main arena
We had played in the "Up & Coming DJs" arena 3 earlier in the night (first time we'd played there) and received really positive feedback (we had that little arena absolutely jumping!) - and shortly after our set the organisers were so impressed they asked if we'd also do the last set of the night in arena 1 as the "very famous happy hardcore DJ who shall remain nameless and was due to do that set" had to pull out - so you could say this was our "big break" and therefore despite a few ropey mixes (and scratches) that you'll hear in this set, its a very fond and personal memory for us that I want to share with you all

Nice & Easy @ Fusion 1998

In the early 90's, a group of young ravers from Hertfordshire decided to try and take their love of all things Happy Hardcore and make that progression from dancefloor to behind the decks and tried to break into the scene....
Initially we called ourselves "Nice & Easy"  throughout the 90's (consisting of myself DJ Nice, my cuz DJ Easy and our MC - the one and only MC Rymo) 
We were just starting to get somewhere with residencies at a number of events, along with regular pirate radio appearances and even a couple of our own tunes (only on duplate mind you!) when the scene as we knew and loved it seemed to die a death and then go off in a different direction as the new millennium dawned
With a heavy heart, despite the successes we were starting to have we decided not to persevere with this new sound that just didn't float our boat anymore...
After a brief hiatus the early to mid 00's saw us rebrand as Class & Masters, stop the DJing out and purely focus on music production and start to try and make tunes for other dance scenes, but still retaining the elements from Happy Hardcore that always made us smile....
Then came marriages, kids, mortgages, moving away from the area etc etc etc.... and for not far off 10 years nothing more than the occasional get together and reminisce about the old times
The studio equipment was sold off, most of the original recordings lost or destroyed, the record collection and the 1210's safely wrapped up and put in the loft for a rainy day....
So fast forward to 2014....I found a little app called Xewton Music Studio that although basic, seemed to have the core functionality to be able to start making some basic tunes again (just for fun mind you), and I uncovered 1 dusty old CD that contained some of our post 2000 creations (before the old studio was disbanded)
Couple this with my recent house move and my eldest daughter who has also picked up her father's love of the 'Core - and the discovery of a couple of fantastic groups on Facebook (93 to 98 Happy Hardcore & OSRU Old Skool Ravers Unite)and the flame was well and truly re-ignited....
So I created this soundcloud profile to try and share some of our loves and highlights from the past 20 years, along with some of the more obscure hard to find tracks that we may have acquired via our special connections during our time in the scene....
